Quite simply, he's a terrible fit not to mention it's damn near impossible to walk in to this offensive system and pick it up with no off season.
Hoyer knows this offense inside and out and that will eventually go a long ways in helping the entire offense on audibles, OL checks, helping players in games get lined up properly, in huddle sequencing, cadence, etc. This is a foundation year and it's going to take 2 full years to fully implement it all. It's going to be rough to start out but small small incremental improvements are what you can expect...like going from 3 pre snap formation penalties to 0 up in Seattle (and no false starts either).
Now, whether Hoyer can EXECUTE...that's the real concern at this junction.
But bringing in Kap would only hinder the installment of this offense right now because the entire offense would have to be changed to fit his style of play.
