49ers agreed to terms with QB Brian Hoyer on a two-year contract. Things had been heading this direction all day. Hoyer will reunite in San Francisco with former OC Kyle Shanahan, likely serving as a bridge until the 49ers can find their long-term answer. Signing Hoyer likely means the 49ers will not trade for Kirk Cousins this offseason, but it seems like a foregone conclusion Cousins will end up in San Francisco at some point. Per source, the Patriots and QB Brian Hoyer are working on a 3-year deal to bring the vet back to back up Tom Brady.

Hoyer gets that chance at a winning a Super Bowl. Pats did not win a Super Bowl when Hoyer was there before.

I'm glad he will get a second chance in NE. Too bad he was not better here. Oh, well, things look like they have worked out for the better on both sides.

lol he chose the Patriots over the Packers. He knows that starting just isnt in his capabilities. Hes too defeated to even want to play.

He's seen what that Packers OL looks like. He saw what happened to Rodgers. He wants no part of that business.
