Peppers showed his outstanding athleticism at the combine...for me, he translates mostly to the SS position. Hooker is better in coverage. I'd say Peppers is more of a contact player. They're both terrific players & athletes. If I were drafting, I'd take Hooker to play the deep FS position.

The scoop: "Jabrill Peppers is a bigger, more explosive version of Tyrann Mathieu." -- NFC executive on the Michigan LB/DB
It's finally happening, the recognition he deserves... He will be the star of this draft.. I've been saying since last year..
"He hunts the ball"
The lack of ball skills were because of Michigans scheming man to man, he had more opportunity for pass break ups.. 10 pass breakups in his sophomore year playing as a db..
He will learn and have those ball skill opportunities in the nfl....
2015 statistics: 45 tackles (34 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, 10 pass breakups. Eight catches for 79 yards, 2 touchdowns. Eighteen rushes for 72 yards (4.0 yards-per-carry average), 2 touchdowns. Seventeen punt returns for 194 yards (11.4 average). Eight kickoff returns for 223 yards (27.9 average).
As a db......
"What I liked: Peppers is one of the most versatile players in the country. He primarily lined up as the nickel cornerback last fall, but he also saw time at cornerback, linebacker and safety. He also took snaps on offense, and returned punts and kicks. He is very effective in press coverage. He patiently sits and catches wide receivers, effectively rerouting and disrupting the timing of the play."
He is fluid in his turn, and he has excellent recovery speed down the field. He is instinctive and aware in underneath coverage. He jumped a bubble screen for a near interception in the Minnesota game. He is outstanding as a run defender. He fights through blocks and is a very reliable tackler in space. He shows timing and burst as a blitzer. He doesn't hit a lot of home runs in the return game, but he consistently makes the first man miss and he compiles a lot of 30- and 40-yard gains. On offense, he is a very aggressive runner and he has the strength and power to run through defenders (see the touchdown against Minnesota). His overall competitiveness is his best quality."

Mayock: Michigan's Peppers is a top-10 talent
"I love the kid. I think he's a top-10 pick," Mayock said Friday on NFL Network from UM's pro day workout. "I might be in the minority, but he's a football player and a dynamic returner."

I will represent him wherever he goes but I bleed red.. My favorite player of all time is Joe Montana. That will never change. He will be an asset to any team.

lol im kidding. It never hurts to root for a specific player on a different team. I had the biggest man crush on Ed Reed and always rooted for him. Even when he intercepted kap during the super bowl i had mixed feelings, but i was mostly mad lol.

Its amazing how little people want to talk about a top 10 pick..
Per Mayock

It will definitely be interesting to see where he goes and how he's used. If some brilliant evil genius defensive mind (*cough* the hood) got his hands on him, I bet Bill would find a way to make Peppers the envy of the nfl.
