Mahomes and Darnold as well. Maybe we're entering the Sandlot era.

Watson also, I love the dual threat QB.

Still would rank him the worst of the 1st rounders.

Based on what though? He's out there leading his team to wins. He made some great throws against a good Chargers defense too so he's not just doing it with his legs.

Honestly what has a guy like Rosen shown to put him above Lamar?

I mean these guys aren't typical gimmick players. Mayfield is deadly accurate. His ball placement reminds me of Brees the year that Rivers was drafted and he really started balling out.

Jackson is more the stereotypical running QB but I think his passing ability exceeeds that of guys like Kaepernick and Vick as rookies. The sky is really the limit for how good he can be if he puts the work in.

I didn't like Lamar at all early in his college career. I became a believer because I can't think of any football player that improved so much year-to-year.

QB Rating first 3 starts: 70, 58, 74

QB Rating most recent 3 starts: 100, 91, 101

The guy might not be articulate, but he has a football brain like a sponge.

He's basically already producing as a passer what Flacco did, and adds the running element. Keep in mind the Baltimore Ravens WR group is bottom of the barrel. John Brown and an old Crabtree.

Well I've said or stated that they'll make good YouTube highlights in the NFL. But show me one that has won a Super Bowl or Super Bowls?

Likewise. His improvement in his final year of college showed tremendous dedication. You don't suddenly wake up and get that much better by accident. I went from one of his biggest critics to thinking that he could be something special.

Steve Young, Russell Wilson

Jake the Snake and Tarkenton were pretty successful too. Can probably lump Favre into that category as well. There have been unconventional QBs that improvise on plays that were winners.

I think thats how qbs are gonna be like after brees and brady retires. O-line play has dipped imo in the last 5 years imo so qbs that can move around are going to be valued a lot more.

I'd only take Baker over him right now.

Horrible comparisons. Even though Young ran a lot in college, he could definitely pass from the pocket. Russell Wilson ran more of a Pro Style at Wisconsin than just the read-option. I'm pretty sure at NC State he was more spread than just run around like Kyler Murray or Lamar Jackson.
