Yup, I believe the Bears ran the second most outside zone in the NFL. Where's NC? He's got this info on this type of stuff.

They have plenty of cap room to do whatever they want before passing on Sitton's option.

IIRC, they can't cut him if he's injured if he had any contractual guarantees for injury (which he should have as a 30 year old OL); they'd have to agree to an injury settlement.

i like that idea. Sitton would be a fantastic addition to the line and can definitely play at a high level for 2 years at the very least and we can draft his heir this year in the mid rounds. Would be cheaper than norwell

Chicago ran 145 snaps on IZ and 165 OZ. Respectively, that's the 5th and 6th most.

Let's sign both guards named Josh. Maybe Jimmy G can convince his old teammate Cameron Fleming to come on over as well in case Staley retires or Trent Brown can't learn how to run block better.

Personally I think offensive line play is a lot more about technique and smarts than physical attributes. It usually takes several years for them to develop. It was interesting to me that we didn't draft any lineman last year, but we picked up several in free agency. Maybe we'll do the same thing this year.
