As I've said repeatedly over the offseason, Harbaugh was given by far the best offense on paper he's had in his tenure with SF. He proceeded to coach up and extremely underwhelming season on the offense while Fangio was absolutely tearing it up with a decimated defense.

I think that combination was the final dagger for Harbaugh. It was a make or break year.

That being said, I like this pick and I'm warming up to the idea that the Niners need to build some depth on the defensive side of the ball after the offseason departures. Especially with Justin Smith either retiring or playing his last season. Dockett isn't young either.

He's not going to have cover that much with the pressure that our d-line and linebackers are going to exhibit. He will be there to clean up easy spills over the middle.

Tartt would be the definition of a center fielder, much better range than Reid IMO.

That's kind of Cam Chancellors calling card and many people regard him as a good safety. It's all about the scheme.
