No the 13th pick was a product of the trade. They had to move Buckner for salary cap reasons and being able to sign multiple free agents on the team. Not to mention a Kittle extension. They were happy to get 1st round compensation and with that they decided to keep the d line strong with Kinlaw. Kinlaw wasn't why they traded Buck it was financial reasons not personnel

That's what I meant lol . It was Never buck Vs Armstead. It was the simple fact that they could receive a high first round pick for Buckner. They knew no one in their right mind was going to offer us a high first round pick for Arik.

Not to mention Fred Warner have a contract coming up and obviously it's going to be pretty big

How did Ford stay healthy during his all pro season where he had the most pressures in the NFL and the most turnovers? We just got pretty unlucky on that one because when he was on the field last year our line was unstoppable.

Ford's always kind of been injury prone though. I cringed when I heard the news of the trade fearing exactly what we've gotten. An oft injured player who rehabs more than anything else.

Not kind of. Ford has always been very injury prone. He's never not been hurt even when he was on the field.

Correct they traded Buckner to have the money to extend Kittle long term, but also have money available for the likes of Bosa, Warner, Deebo, Greenlaw, also to re-sign AA and Ward. Plus the 13th pick was perfect compensation, but I doubt they would have traded him for less than a 1st rd pick. Plus had we gave Buckner a $21M a yr deal, we likely wouldn't have gotten Trent Williams, nor would we be able to afford him in the future. Cap wise, they couldn't fit Buckner and Williams plus guys like Warner, Deebo, Bosa, Dre, Jimmy, Kittle, and others under the cap.

As for Cohn, he's a f**king moron, AA has been very good this year, just cause he doesn't have the great sack numbers doesn't mean he hasn't been good, he's consistently getting pressure on the QB and the RBs. Well worth the money.

I think overall buckner is better but AA might be a little more valuable bc of his ability to play both DT and DE and he's a little better against the run than Buckner.
