Not an overreaction or a "omg armstead sux we paid the wrong guyyy", but we let a really good football player walk out of the door.
That can be directly attributed to his get off on the snap. When he was drafted, I've never seen a worse defensive lineman taken that high, with regard to get off. He's gotten a whole lot better at it since then, but still isn't consistent enough at it imo.

@grantcohn great 4 play breakdown. I've played 179 snaps this season. Quick question for you have you ever played football in your life ? By the looks of you I'll say no. Furthermore what makes you qualified to analyze football ?

TJ Watt
Khalil Mack
Miles Garrett
Those of you that are analyzing him probably need to stop and actually think for a minute what you're saying. He does have his limitations but they are very few and far between. Plus he's the most versatile out of any end because he can play tackle better than all of them as well. This was a great signing

AA is not that bad - but, I'd rather they signed Buckner better.

In all honesty I probably would've had Buckner but not at $21 million, so I guess I would've rather saved that money by signing Armstead, get a first round pick, and get a more versatile player. We improved against the run in my opinion with Kinlaw anyway with that pick received.
I really wish we did not sign Richburg or Dee Ford or Alexander because they are preventing us from signing great players such as Buckner more than anything. Injuries just suck because Ford transformed our defense when he was healthy.

Yeah, it was a mistake signing Richburg and Ford.

How did Ford stay healthy during his all pro season where he had the most pressures in the NFL and the most turnovers? We just got pretty unlucky on that one because when he was on the field last year our line was unstoppable.
It really pisses me off because if Ford was healthy or even Richburg for the Super Bowl we would've won in my opinion

Exactly what I've been saying.
Buckner was a great pass-rusher but was very vulnerable against the Run especially playing defensive tackle on the inside
Armstead is not as good of a pass-rusher but better against the Run...
At least when it's running back LOL.
Grant Cohn's breakdown was pretty solid

Had a feeling AA would clap back after he ripped Leastwriter a new one a while back.
