If Ramsey is such a good deal why aren't any of the other teams like KC and the Eagles all over it. They have more draft capital to give up than we do and they are closer to the SB. A player like Ramsey could make the difference for them but still no deal. That big contract he wants has a way of screwing up a roster because it ripples down. Every guy will want more when their turn comes or they walk. How much will we need to pay Buckner? What about Kittle? What if Jimmy holds out after Ramsey signs a big contract? I think teams are hoping that the price will come down to a 1st and maybe a 2nd or 3rd.

In the mean time we have what we have. Everyone was quick to write off Verrett but he wasn't expecting to play in that game and it was his first action in ages. Let's see if he can improve with an extra week of practice and knowing he has a chance to start. He had a lot of rust and it showed.

If thats the case, that wouldn't be that bad.

It is if you are giving up two first round picks to acquire said player.

Now THAT is interesting. See this is what I was asking before. Give him the Ronnie Lott treatment. I like that idea. Also might keep Sherm around another couple years would I think would be great for the development of Spoon and Ramsey.
