I'm sorry, but that is complete and utter bull crap. Unless Grant Cohn puts him in the good section, it is only a matter of time until he loses his spot to Williams!

There won't be a bell cow rb on this team under Shanahan

Why not? He's always had a bell cow. Alfred Morris, Arian Foster and Freeman

Watch the 2015 home opener against the Vikings as a primer. On the field he's a beast...just needs to find a way to stay on it.

Getting in the best shape of his career is a good start
I think he shares carries with Breida, Williams. He's going to lose some receiver, outside zone running plays. That's not to say he won't beast it here because he will but I think he'll be around Freeman's 1,100 yards number and not rushing title numbers.
Hope Hyde runs well Friday night against the Chiefs
50-cent is going to run hard or die trying.
No doubting that Hyde is amazing. But it is the way he plays - going all out - that puts his body at risk of injury.

Does anyone know how the coaches would typically try to manage the risk? You would assume that Shanahan, Ray Wright and Bobby Turner would have some ideas for Carlos to become even better.

The 49ers have been pumping up Carlos Hyde to the media ever since Gregg Rosenthal said they might cut him. Hmm.

LMAO! Good ole Grant never lets me down.

The gift that keeps on giving. And they pay him for it too!

He is an incredibly talented RB. As long as he can stay healthy he will be a beast.

The bold has been the issue.

You can be the best RB in the league and it doesn't matter if you cant stay healthy.
Well it's looking like Grant Cohn was wrong about Carlos Hyde. What a surprise! Not really.

He picks a new player to create controversy every week. Someday, one will stick on the ball.

Hard to conclude Hyde's turn the corner either....not a single snap of NFL football has been played yet and he's yet to survive a complete season in his Career.

He's talking about cohn's comments which basically he's been saying he's not a fit for this system and unproductive in practice...and in the same breath Cohn has been blasting off about how great Williams is, who's until the last practice or two has struggled, witch is fine for a 4th rd draft pick but he's not even close to taking over Hyde.

Not having a Dlineman's dick in his face as soon as the ball is snapped will go a long way in helping Carlos stay healthy.
