It's really funny how the media is just whoring Wilson around right now, when he literally had zero impact on the game, and couldn't score three straight times in the redzone. -Guess they gotta put a positive image up since the real contributors are scumbags, whom are hated across America.
Zero impact on the game ? What's really funny is how some of our fans cannot give credit where it is due.
Wilson was cool, calm and collected all night long. One could not have been any more poised than he was. While they failed to score 7 on their first TWO RZ drives, they got in on the 3rd try, and on the second drive to the RZ he did throw what would have been a touchdown had Irving not made a great play to jar the ball out of Kearse's hands. He helped the offense put up 29 offensive points, threw 2 touchdowns and went 6 for 9 on 3rd down....but he had no impact. Are you really trying that hard to convince yourself he is not as good as he is ? He's a phenomenal young QB who has yet to even reach his full potential and deserves the praise he is receiving.
Any QB can play calm cool and collected when their Defense is ass raping Manning all night long. Lol up by multiple scores all game how else do you expect him to play. If this was a tight game throughout and Wilson played the way he did then I would give him credit. He was very good on 3rd down, I'll give the midget that much
I think we have seen the best of Russell Wilson. Average qb with an elite defense.
I'd say he is a good QB but not an elite or great one. You guys are right in that he is riding on Lynch's shoulders, and if he get's offered $10m+ a year he should give half of it to Lynch, along with an incredibly dominant defense.
The thing that strikes me is that they didn't score a passing TD until the game was already won. They had a safety and 2 field goals, then get a short field from the Chancellor INT and Lynch punches it in. Then it's a Pick 6 and a kick-off return, the game is beyond Denver by that point and no pressure on Wilson to bring it. I thought the Denver defense was pretty poor but I also noticed Wilson was missing open receivers initially though he was good on 3rd downs.
Couple of things about this are going to be interesting next season. Firstly, Wilson seems to have slumped towards the end of the season and not the start. I think if he is contained in the pocket by disicplined defense he struggles. Secondly, the defense means they are almost never playing from behind. If Lynch is bottled and the other team gets a two score lead, I am not sure Seattle can come back without relying on the opposing Def to make some mistakes (which unfortunately we did this season).
