You draft based on talent available not position. Bosa and Williams are the top two players in this draft. Both look like difference makes at the next level. If you can't get Bosa, you get Williams and put him next to Buckner and let them feast.

Exactly

Drafting for need over BPA has produced some epic bust in the first round. BPA or trade down is always the way to go.
He's a nice consolation prize if we cant get Bosa

I understand some posters have heard of Bosa for a longer period and are therefore upset we may miss out on him.

But Quinnen Williams may be a better prospect. Getting either is incredible.

...and we are a lock to have a chance at one of them.
Watching the game yesterday I was blown away at how quick his first step is. He looked elite yesterday. We shall see how he does against Clemson.
I swear to god if we don't get Bosa or Quinnen out of this draft...
This dude the next Donald or something?

No, but he doesn't have to be. He's really, really good in his own right.

I've never seen a NT with this kind of quickness and hands maybe ever. The only player I can think of is JJ Watt at that size. Not as athletic as Watt but his hands are just incredible.
Will Lynch draft a player from Alabama?

He's going to be a special player if he stays healthy because he won't fail from either being lazy or an idiot (Foster). Everyone raves about his character and this is another reason I say he's a safer pick than Bosa, who some question both his medicals and character for quitting on his title contending team.

Back to Williams though, it's amazing how he was a 250lb DE only a couple years ago and is now near 300lbs, yet he's still explosive as ever. The way people talk about him makes it sound like he loves football and never stops working to improve himself. These are traits that you want in any draft pick, but especially a first round pick. Having athletic skill, technique and character usually means you'll live up to the expectations placed upon you from being a high pick.

There is something to be said about players who bulk up late in their careers. We are seeing it with Kittle as he shows you can keep your speed and quickness after gaining the weight. Williams plays like he is 250 still and that's what makes him so good. Trading down wouldn't be terrible but I really don't trust our front office to make the right picks.
IF this regime plans on taking a DT again they better make sure they adress some needs in FA with sure starters/gamechangers

This.

If the FO signs 1-2 ER in FA then Williams pick looks even better

Almost 99 out if 100 times any edge rusher worth signing is retained or tagged. They are that valuable.

That being said Arizona pass rush is very good already. Their run defense and especially their offensive line is horrific. We should hope a LT like Jonah or someone nootntalkes about as top 5 yet blows up boards.

I would imagine AZ preference would be trade down and still get either Williams. If nothing good is offered just take Bosa.

Unless we get a really good trade offer we may have no choice, but to take QW even though I still can't imagine it.
