DK Metcalf

But I agree. Metcalf should be a pretty solid pick up for them, and he has a lot of ability that you cant teach. I was pretty disappointed that both Metcalf and Butler went inside our division.

And Metcalf has the fastest 10 yard split period since they started keeping track of that number in 03. Vernon had nice speed but he was roasting lb's and safeties not corners.

I think he will be a fine player
one-trick pony

Perfect for Widget's "f**k it I'm scrambling for ten seconds and then chucking this s**t" trick.

No, that would be a player like Tedd Ginn. DK can do a little more but not as much as the top tier.

And that was a reason he was drafted in the 2nd rd. Not a complete WR

Rarely in NFL history does a limited route runner find long term success. It has happened, it's just rare

That's because most WR's aren't as freakishly built and as fast as DK. Sometimes, some players simply overcome some things easier than others.

Look at Terrell Pryor. Converted qb, 7.2 3 cone time so like Metcalf is very limited as a route runner in both ability and training and he still has a 1,000 yard season under his belt with 6 different qb's tossing him the ball that year. Couldn't sustain it but he also made the mistake of leaving Clv and starting over with a squad.

The odds are against it. NFL defenses have a way to take one trick ponies away. We will see

I tried to think of another example
but couldn't. Pryor is the only guy in history who was better off with the Browns.
