Thanks!

How about I do you one...throw in Chad Kelly in the 7th at that point whatever still don't like him though lol.

you win the Mock Offseason Championship, by far

LOL you didn't hear..?? Baalke had Kelly over for dinner last night and already signed him to a 5th round contract..its already a garentee..!

We are on the come up baby! Garappolo, Garrett, Jeffrey, Beckwith....Kelly

Knew you'd like that
Love your picks, not sure about everything else...but if it's realistic it would really help regain a competitive team.

Okay so none of this will probably happen but this is my wayyy too early mock off season
All of our mock drafts should start with this caveat! LOL!

First: Fire Baalke and Tom Gamble steps in...not the flashest hire but if Chip is gonna be here this makes the most sense.
I'd love to fire JoN as well but unsure who to throw in? Maybe see what Pettine is up to
I'm going to disagree with this and tie Gamble and Kelly to Baalke. He is friends with Gamble and Kelly was evidently his choice, so I'm fine allowing the string to play out with the three of them either staying together or leaving together. If they leave the Yorks better have a dynamic plan/person to establish instant credibility with free agents, coaches, agents, NFL execs...FANS. Who would that be? Shanahan? Holmgren? Or one of the assistant GMs around the NFL? Whoever it is had better have a personality that sets fire to those around him.

Cut/release:
Kap: He most likely moves on wouldn't hate if he stayed as a bridge QB, but time to get someone new in here
Brooks: Long in the tooth and we need need to get more consistent pass rush he just can't do that especially with the salary he's getting.
Bethea: He gone.
Brock: Cut or possibly look for a late rd trade.
Might keep a couple of these guys to compete for spots but it would disappoint me if more than one made the team.

Extend: Not too much to get excited about (would have signed Lynch but can't after this season).
Vance McDonald: 4yr $23 million. Get a QB that can hit him in stride, we have seen him become a good red zone threat and a play maker.
Ray Ray- ehhh small 1yr deal take it or leave it
Phil- 1yr $3 million
Tiller-Keep him as a solid backup
All good!

FA:
Alshon Jeffery WR- Had a piss poor yr and PEs might drop him a little, but we have money to spend and when healthy is a top WR 5yrs $60 million
A.J. Bouye CB-Kid is balling this yr and has the size we want in a outside CB...please put Ward at FS and line A.J across Robinson. 5 yrs $35 million
Bryan Hoyer QB -Sign him to a cheaper backup deal
Kiko Alonso ILB- He's havimg a solid yr and I'm hoping he's over the injury bug, Maybe he wants to head back and play for his old coach. 4 yrs $22 million
That's around $65 million spent and $35 million left which is more than enough left for future signings (Lynch/Ward/QB).
If some of these guys sign that would be fine but I believe the team will have to overpay or take them on helicopter rides over the Golden Gate to wow them.

Draft:(just 5 rd mock got to get into the draft mode and check out more players)
1st: Myles Garrett OLB- Best player in the draft drops to us. Browns go for QB with Mitch who's reported to being scouted hard by them (hey I can dream) OR a team moves up for a qb.
2nd: Trade our 2nd and 3rd next year for Jimmy Garoppolo...Would be the best QB in this draft we have him for a extra yr, plus can franchise tag to see what he's got. Quick release, super accurate, strong arm, and a hard worker sign me up!
3rd: Kendell Beckwith ILB- a leader and a 3 down guy with long arms... is a fundamentally sound tackler does need to attack more.
*Trade our early 4th and 5th to move back into the 3rd
3rd: Carlos Watkins NT- Love this kid...great story with being in a car accident that killed his cousin changed his life and the way he lives it, he's been a monster vs the run and is one of the better pass rushers on the Clemson line.
4th-Wayne Gallman RB- keep rolling with the Clemson players...there are so many good RBs in this draft and one or two will slip through the cracks. He's a great fit for the inside zone and will take over for whatever we have with Harris/Draughan.
5th-Deyshawn Bond C- Athletic center and we need to get Martin our of here

Note: I'd like to leave this draft with like 5 good prospects we are stocked with youth and developmental guys. I doubt any of this happens but it would be a step in the right direction IMO
Every year I hope they trade up to gain as many elite players as possible...so I really like this group. QB and OLB pass rusher are absolute priorities. Secondary priorities are skill positions on offense (WR & RB) and the middle on defense (ILB & NT). You really hit these nicely! Also like trying to replace Martin with a true center. I'd like to see them draft a true NT or a DE who is a major run stuffer. Would help on goal line as well.

CBS now has Garrett at #3 on their prospect list, behind Peppers and Adams, so that becomes more realistic if they are accurate. Good for us!
First off we fire Baalke, chip and staff.. boom!

Tom Gamble is promoted and we hire Mc Carthy to bring back the west coast offense. Bring mr Vic Fangio back to coordinate our defense. Bam!

Cut/let walk: Brooks, Bethea, Acker, McDonald, Torrey Smith, Kap, Pow!

Trades: trade a 5th to Cleveland for the rights to Josh Gordon.. trade this year's 3rd and next year's 3rd for Jimmy Grappollo. Zoom!

Sign:wr Micheal Floyd, NT bj Raji, LB Malcolm smith, s Eric berry, TE Vernon Davis. zap!

Resign: Ponder, Kerley. Zip!

DRAFT: 1st: Myles Garrett, 2nd: Christian Mc Caffrey. BIZAAM!

If your going RB in the 2nd round I would go Nick Chubb.
good stuff.

So many holes on defense, we could do a number of combos.

IMO Bethea, and pretty much all of our dbs suck.

We have no MLBs as I fear that Bow is done.

Kaep is alright for now imo. I think we could get a Garrapollo or a decent qb in the late rounds. A qb is made not drafted IMO.
A great defense and a oline will take you far.

I highly doubt chip get's fired after one season (while they are still paying Jimmy T) only way he's leaving is if he takes off to a college program. It's been reported that Ted Thompson not McCarthy is in the hot seat.

Vic isn't coming back and you can't make a lateral move DC to DC unless he get's fired in Chicago

NO ONE is trading anything for Gordon and the Browns have already said they are moving on from him...he will be released and you're smoking with Gordon if you think they'll get a 5th for him lol.

So we are gonna sign a retired NT in bj Raji? and bring back VD lol?

I'm sorry you must be joking with all this...

Thanks man ...as far as Baalke/Chip/Gamble combo go someone is gonna get fired if we go 1-15 have to. Chip isn't going anywhere with his salary (and paying for Jimmy T's) Baalke is the odd man out IMO.

As far as FA go hell ya we will have to overpay and I'm fine with it...it's not like we have a ton of young players getting ready to get huge contracts

and like I said at the top none of this will happen most likely lol, I do think it would make for a nice blueprint to rebuilding the team though.

I will have to disagree with kap is alright for now lol...He's gone after this season and we have zero qb's signed past 2016. I also somewhat disagree qb's are made not drafted if that was the case then no one would be giving up picks to move up for a QB. The "hit rate" for drafting a QB late is very very small and this team needs some sort of positively and it starts with a new face...just look at the fan base when Blaine did anything good lol people actually thought we had something with that trash bag. QB and pass need to be the focus on this off season!

Bow is already getting back into the swing of things (from is tweets) and achilles tears are not the end all be all, look at Steve Smith he's 9 years older (Bow is only 28) and just came off two achilles ruptures (just had 8 catches for 100 yard and a TD this past Sunday). He will be fine, but nothing wrong with doubling down on ILB when we will be moving on from at least 3 scrubs.

What makes a secondary better? a pass rush Bethea is slow and needs to go, but we are very young everywhere else. I think we have a future with Ward/Robinson/Redmond/Reid/Tarrt plus adding a player like aj bouye is huge. I also wouldn't hate drafting someone a little later because this is a crazy deep draft at DB.

I also think a better defensive mind could get much more out of this young bunch.

There are more than a dozen players on the niners who will be FAs next year. Most of them will not cost a lot but some may depending on how they do through the end of this year, while some will be let go. Some will be difficult decisions--Dorsey has been good when healthy, but do you keep a 32 year old with injury issues? Also, three of their ILBs are up and they will likely be resigned...to moderate contracts.

In 2018 they have more FAs up for contracts and many are part of the foundation of any building group. You can replace a few through the draft but that will just set the team back until rookies gain experience. Reid, Ward, Kilgore, Hyde, Johnson, Lynch, Reaser...not elite players but solid vets.

In other words, they will still have a healthy cap space for outside FAs but not enough to blow on over valued guys. You list isn't a bad group cost wise, but who knows as most teams will have money to spend next off season...could be a banner year for FAs...in a very weak FA group. A lot of mediocre players are going to get a big pay day. An article by John Clayton points out that most of the top FAs will be resigned or franchised leaving a really limited number of top FAs available. The guys I'd really like from Clayton's list of top 20 FAs--NTs Poe, Williams, Logan (4/3 DT) (Short perhaps?); WRs Jeffrey ($15+ mil), QB Cousins?; OLB none.

Oh well, as you say..."none of this will happen" LOL! Have a great day!

Vernon> Vance McDonald.. bj Raji took a 1 year sobatical.. I'm just suggesting I can say the same thing about your assessment because you must be smoking time think any player would want to come to this dumpster fire organization.. calm down and put less salt on your fries..

Lol I'm completely calm my man...you suggesting to bring back a former player that was old when they left and dealing with more "sobatical" players (we've already went down that road) is just silly. VD would be calling in on days we play Seattle lol. He's softer than baby s**t these days.

I guess players don't like cash...yes the team sucks but most teams that suck have the most cash and if players want top dollar then that's where they will go...and outside of AJ who are all these high profile FAs I'm bringing in?
My thoughts on this amazing mock.

1. The first 2 picks in your draft are immediate starters and huge upgrades.

2. Love the Watkins and Beckwith (who is going to shoot up the draft in my opinion)

3. Not loving the Hoyer pick up in free agency. I would like to take a late round flyer pick Sefo Liufau and see how he looks. Can sign a vet back up if he doesn't perform in the preseason.

4. I'm with you on trying to trade Brock And cutting Bethea. I would not cut Brooks he can still play ball in this league and may be better in a reserve role. Would much rather try and get some kind of compensation and trade Tank to a 4-3 team.

5. While I agree Ward should be moved to FS I just don't see it happening unless we accept Tartt isn't the future at SS. Reid is still more than serviceable and was having a good beginning of the year. With an actual pass rush he is still a top 10 Safety in my opinion. Plus Redmond, Davis, Robinson, Ward and DJ (who I'm not a fan of just due to the the fact he can't ever hold down a significant spot) it's a crowded secondary and I've been pounding the table to try and draft one of the many DBs coming out this year but with other needs it's not looking like it will happen but if it did I would be freakin pumped.

6. I like Gallman but I would have liked to see a receiver at that spot. I'll go back to CU and look at Phillip Lindsey (can't not have an Afro on our team) as another late round UDFA for more depth at RB.

All in all I love this mock and if a team can get 7+ new starters on their roster I would say it's a very successful offseason.

P.S. Give more love to my boy Ray Ray. 3 year cheap deal for a player who started at ILB with barely any experience at ILB over 2 vets. He is an athletic freak who can now just focus on ILB. I'm higher than most on him but I've loved him since his days at the U.

yeah it's only a 5 rd mock and I'd like to throw together some of those late picks to move up for another 5th if possible (possibly for a WR). Finally got to see Liufau play, people were comparing him to Kap lol. I would look to draft the kid from Central Michigan if we were looking for a developmental QB.

Brooks has got to go...he's gonna make around $9 million next yr, that isn't even close to worth what he brings to the table...no way do you restructure his contract for more years either. Thanks for the years Brooks, but Myles will slide in that spot opposite of Lynch just fine. Tank and Eli are backups for another yr.

I agree there is A LOT of talent at the DB position in this draft and I'm cool with getting someone at some point. I know it's a long shot for Ward to move to FS (but it's my mock ) I feel he's best with the ball in front of him as a ball-hawk safety. Him and Reid would be a good combo (or if Tarrt shows something rest of the yr).

Gallman is prime for this offense and him and Hyde with a real QB would make this offense hum...they would also make the OL look much better in the process.

I got Ray Ray in there lol...I mean he started over two scrubs end of the day. We need some depth and Bow, Kiko, Beckwith, and Ray Ray is much much better than what we had rolling out this yr.
