Throw in his character and leadership ability and the 49ers would be getting an outstanding guy overall and a true offensive playmaker.

This. Him corey davis and engrim would be a nice haul

I got a feeling it's gonna be Adams...

I am feeling no one has any clue.

No one does and according to Lynch we shouldn't. But with all of the discussions we've had in here all people have is their gut feelings to by.

2 or 8 are way too high for him. Sure he can catch the ball but how many 5'11 receivers were 1st round picks ...

How many 5'11" receivers could run the ball the way he can?

You're trying to compare him to a typical prospect at RB or WR and he is neither.

There is an absurd number of ways and plays that Shanahan could utilize McCaffrey in.

He's an interesting player but missing out on a pro bowl caliber MLB, DE, DT, or OL in a passing makes little sense.

There has been a receiver who is 5"11 or shorter taken in the first round in the last 5 draft classes and the first WR off the board last year was 5"11.
Carolina Panthers won't draft to McCaffrey because Panthers prefer beast like not McCaffrey. McCaffrey is best fix for WR, kick return and RB are part time. He is not full time for RB.
He is not worth for 1st round #2 pick? Oh pls that huge dumb.

Corey Coleman is 5'10" and went #15 to Cleveland last year. Odell Beckham (5'11") was taken #12. Brandin Cooks (5'10") went #20. Tavon Austin (5'8") went #8. Phillip Dorsett (5'10") went #29. Percy Harvin (5'10") went #22.
This is the guy that's gonna make a lot of dudes go soft on here. Just don't get how people are talking about him like he's automatically gonna be able to play WR and RB with success at this level coming from the PAC12. If his last name wasn't McAffrey and he was black, IMO he wouldn't have all this noise.

The way I look at is is that McCaffrey gives you a player that is legit as both RB and WR. Some RB's are good receivers out of the backfield, McCaffrey is a good receiver by any measure. That is tremendous value and highly unique. On top of that the 49ers have a head coach with the offensive creativity to fully utilize a player like McCaffrey which is why I'd be fine with the 49ers drafting him early.

Yep, and it aint like we are trying to win right now

Yes. McCaffrey is not beast. He is kinda soft. He is not 1st round. He is leasts at 3 round or 4th round. Do you want McCaffrey in 1st round for us?? Tell me why do u like him and explained me if u can?

lol stop...people have explained over and over why he'd be a great fit in Kyle's system. I don't think either is worth the 2nd overall pick but I'll take the guy who's gonna be on the field.

LF and CM have damn near the same amount of attempts, yards, and ypc...McCaffery DOES have more than double the rec and yards as a receiver. The return yards is just a bonus.

You telling me he can't be a stud?

He touched the ball 314 times last year how is that soft? Do you mean he's doesn't run defenders over? Would you call Barry Sanders soft?
