Rams trade 1st round pick to Patriots for Brandin Cooks

I hope Cooks gets a HUGE contract lol. They don't have Paraag there. 😁

Why not just keep Watkins and save the 1st round pick?

That is what makes little sense. You can say cooks is better than Watkins and few would argue, but no a +1st round pick better

I agree. They face a first round pick for him rather than pay Watkins, they still have to pay Cook, plus give up the pick... And Cook hasn't exactly been sticking around with teams has he? Very curious.

He's been healthier than Watkins. Watkins is a better overall talent. There is a reason Cooks hasn't improved at all since his rookie year, he came into the league already at his ceiling. Common sense says Cooks stats will continue to decline now that he isn't benefiting from a pass first offense led by a HOF quarterback.

bump...it makes a ton of sense as to why their going hard for big names RIGHT NOW. Without question winning is #1 but they're like $2 billion over their budget on this stadium reportedly. They had half-full stadiums last yr so they NEED to get all those tickets sold and what better way to do that then bring in big names, that don't have big price tags THIS yr.
