hasnt Faneca made the Pro Bowl every year he has been in the league?
if the niners want to start Davis at RT picking up Faneca would help his development as a rookie tackle

Yeah, let's get this guy as a one-year insurance plan for Rachel, and he'd also make a great mentor to the rooks!

Gore would be salivating to run behind this line! It makes a lot of sense and would allow our younger guys to learn from a potential HOF'er in Faneca. Iupati and Rachal would both benefit from this guy, but I don't know if he's interested in playing RG if Iupati is at LG.
Would allow us to have depth with Baas, Rachal, Sims, and Snyder as back-ups. That's gotta be great for us to have 4 starters from last year as back up depth.

Which means that it's not gonna happen.....it makes too much sense so we can forget it.

I dunno, I'm showing a little more faith in this principle with Baalke around. We wanted linemen (when it made the most sense) and took the initiative, we needed a return-man when Ted Ginn looked like an easy no-brainer signing... and we got him!

RELEASED I can't see us not going after this guy.

SIGN HIM!! Have him teach Chilo and Iupati how its done, but I dont think its going to happen.

If we release Baas, I see us at least contending for him...

who knows cause the Seahawks are interested or were interested in Chest Pitts so Seattle could look at him.

Good call, I forgot they lost Sims and didnt really sign anyone. Most likely will sign Pitts, but they'll try for Faneca.

If I was Baalke, I'd be on the phone with Alan right now, giving him a fat 2 year contract heavy on the 1st year, since it's uncapped. And have him start at RG, and then we would we literally have no weaknesses on the O-line and only one weakness left on the entire offense.
