our DL is playing at a high level right now. we dont need him to contribute at the moment. lets give him time to get better, and when its time for him to step in he better be ready.

He can only get better!!!! lineman take a few years to show any progress anyway so by next year he should be a quality DE. He's not going to be the greatest but he should be a 5-8 sack guy.

It's just so hard to project DL, esp in the 3-4. It probably takes more time to develop than any other position. Seeing as how the line has played well w/o him, he'd really have to come on to get more snaps. Looking back, it doesn't seem like a need at this time. I say let him play out his rookie deal and see what you have. It's not my money!

Are you serious? Manny Lawson led the team in sacks and he only had 6.5. You think that Balmer will range between 5-8 sacks next year? The dude has 0 sacks and only 19 total tackles in 27 games. I have to disagree with the fact that you think he will be a "quality DE".

Hey, somebody has to make up the "bust" numbers, right? It's like catching a disease, everyone says "it won't happen to me", but the percentages are the percentages and somebody has to fall into that category.

Yeah to pick up his paychecks on time.
So far he is leaning towards the BUST label if he doesnt do jack this season he can own that honor at the end of it.
Thank you McCluess keep em coming!!!

There was potentially no talent left in the first round up until the spot we had picked, so we should have traded that pick out to obtain DeSean Jackson or Ray Rice in the second round (and pick up a jobber in the 3rd).
It sucks to have a 1st round pick that plays like a 4th rounder.
