Clearly the Giants need to develop better everyday players in the organization.

Surprised they have Panik so high. Not a terrible top 10, but not too great either. Curious to see how many guys we have in the top 100.

I agree on Panik. Not a great list if he is your 2nd best prospect. Might be a good player but certainly not a great one. Made me laugh that they showed Lincy as the #4 starter on the team for 2016.

It's all speculation no matter how you slice it. Pretty easy for anybody to see the few "can't miss" stars that come along once every few years (Posey, Trout, Harper, Strasburg) but ranking most players and farm systems is a crapshoot at best. We've won two out of the last three WS with what all of the experts say is a terrible farm system, so I'll take that.

we need Panik & Gary Brown to be productive for us, b/c if their not then this is a week farm system this year.

Esp. when a couple of years ago the giants had the weakest farm systems in baseball. Way to replenish the farm.

MLB came out with their Top 100 Prospects for 2013. Gary Brown at #100 and Kyle Crick at #86. Ex-Giants property Zack Wheeler is at #8.

I guess MLB.com would rank our system lower than 17th. We have some good pitching prospects but it is still weak overall.

Angel Villalona is still in the Giants system no?

He is listed as restricted and is not on the 40 man roster. I'm not sure what restricted means.

He is restriced because he hasnt been able to get a visa to come in to this country and play. I think he is done as a prospect. and I really doubt he ever plays major league baseball.
