I might be the only one, but I'd really like to see Howard go to the Nets, I think DWill and Howard would be great together.

Yeah, Miami is a big time market. Their fair weather fans will show up if they are winning just like all the teams. And yeah, small market teams have to constantly hit their picks because the good ones usually leave. While the banwagon teams just buy their s*it.

how long was boston down? how do you define a "few"? how long have the clippers been down? miami is hardly a prestigious place to play, the fans only care if the team is good, not just if they have a star.

small market teams have to draft better, make better decisions and stop crying that the system is against them when there have been many many examples of small market teams succeeding. it's easier to make excuses than win games though.

When all this happens the NBA is dead to me.. its just MLB 2

Except the MLB requires more than five players to win a championship, which makes it much more difficult.

The Clippers come on man... David Sterling? Why would you even bring that up. Even though Miami fans are extreme fair weather fans, it's still a HUGE market with tons of star potential. The C's were down for a bit, after the Walker and Pierce thing, but they still have an advantage over the smaller market teams. Although, LA, MIA and NYK are still way more attractive to these younger athletes. They would rather live and play there as opposed to Bean Town. Those three cities are basically going to buy the NBA for a while. Dallas will be good because they have a great owner.

What is your point will all this? Mine is that small market teams are at a huge disadvantage. You can say that it's "complaining" but it's also reality.

you're overstating it

small market teams have and will continue to be able to compete. the same dregs suck every year and hide behind those excuses. the owners feed the fans that the system is stacked against them so that they don't actually have to try and do anything.

keep thinking that though, you're the epitome of why these owners can get away with a mediocre product season after season.

Okay man... yeah, it's a conspiracy against the "sheep" fans. I guess it's easier to hop on a banwagon.

I'm not overstating it. Bottom line, it's a major disadvantage. It defies me that you aren't willing to accept that.

So it looks like Tyson Chandler is going to sign with the Knicks(I know this is older news, but oh well). This would be a great move for them. Chandler, Amar'e, and Melo is a pretty sick front court. All they need is a PG

John Ireland is reporting the Lakers also got Emeka Okafor and a $9 million dollar trade exemption from NO

Lakers getting Okafor back in this deal is huge. I think the Lakers can start Okafor at the 4 when Bynum gets back and even if the Lakers trade Bynum for howard they can use that 9 mil trade exemption to round out that team.

I don't think Mitch (Lakers GM) would have made this move if he thought that...I think we're getting Dwight within the next 48 hours
