It depends what Cousins does IMO..if he plays like a "rookie" I expect 27-28 out of 'Reke to get in the playoffs..if Cousins has a solid year..who knows..maybe.
Still..teams I would expect to make the playoffs before the Kings:
1. Lakers
2. Mavericks
3. Thunder
4. Denver
5. Suns
6. Jazz
7. Rockets
8. Warriors
9. Hornets
10. Kings
As a Kings fan I could see us being above some of those teams. The Suns bro? They're way too high. Nash and Hill are another year older, nobody to finish around the rim from Nash's passes, nobody to play the pick and roll, no main scorer, Hedo looks rather washed up, I think they're a 40 win team. Head to head the Kings are better than them IMO, our frontcourt dominates theirs. We have 4 guys over 6'10''(Dalembert, Cousins, Thompson, Greene) and the suns don't have anybody upfront besides RObin Lopez.
The Hornets I don't see being better either. Reke and CP 3 are both great players but after them I dont see anyone great on the Hornets. On the Kings I think you guys will see Cousins play pretty well for a rookie and I expect a good year from Jason Thompson. The Rockets might be good but Yao isn't going to play more than 24 MPG for the whole season, and Martin and Brooks aren't very good defensively. That backcourt is going to get exposed IMO. Adelman's a great coach and they have a deep team but I think we can be better than them.
Warriors are a toss up with us. Lee is a good player and a good adition for them, Curry should get better, but some of their players might put up less numbers without the run and gun system from Nelly. They have a good talented team though. But I think we can be just as good as some of those teams and as a Kings fan I'll be kind of mad if we aren't. I think everyone is going to see Tyreke tear up the league this year.
