Until the next time we play them
Was reading this article about the new NBA jam that is coming out: http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-100319-20/nba-jam

Who do you guys think should on the King's team? I would pick Landry, Evans and my boy Donte, but unfortunately Donte isn't an option. By default, I would pick Udrich because JT and Spence don't deserve to be on the team...

Anyway, what you guys think?
Tyreke needs to take more leadership and say to Caspi:

"Next time you think it's a good idea to talk smack to Kobe, the idea of becoming a Palestinian to you would be better."

I can't believe he tried to talk to Kobe. That was actually just before Kobe started scoring.

Tyreke is 20.

Huh.

It'd be a short conversation.

20 year old Evans: Don't try to talk smack to Kobe.

21 year old Casspi: Blow me.

That's a vet's job.

Sure you do. Beno, Nocioni, Garcia...all of those guys have been in the league long enough to do that. I don't know what their personalities are like, but that responsibility shouldn't fall on Tyreke...yet. By the third year? Yes.

Eh, the only one of those guys who is a real leader is Garcia. He probably should've told Casspi to cool it. But a real vet IMO would be like a Ben Wallace or Chauncey Billups or maybe a Grant Hill or Steve Nash. We don't have a real leader yet who commands a bunch of respect in the locker room. Reke commans respect of his teammates but it's more of a "wow that kid is really really good" way rather than a "yeah he knows what he's talking about and has authority" type of way. I think we need a veteran glue guy if you know what I mean. Someone who is a clutch player, has been in the league for years, etc.

Age doesn't make a leader. Tyreke is a leader on this team and I'm sure everyone knows the onwership will choose him over them. He's far enough into his first year to tell another rookie to cool it.
Why tell him to cool it? Casspi will learn on his own how to control his emotions on the court. He goes over the top sometimes, but he's just a fiery dude. It wasn't like it was a long, heated exchange. He talked a little mess, Kobe checked him, and that's that.

Why? Kobe didn't beat the Kings. Having no size in the middle lost that game. Kobe had a horrible shooting game and missed 6 FTs. While Casspi got amped up and made some big plays.
