NBA Free Agent finalized transactions thread

Gooden Agrees To Deal With Dallas
Jul 27, 2009 12:55 AM EST

Drew Gooden announced that he has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Mavericks on his Twitter feed just after midnight Saturday, writing, "Dallas here I come!!!"

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban tweeted in response: "Welcome Drew."

ESPN.com, quoting unidentified sources, reported that Gooden will receive a one-year contract worth a guaranteed $4.5 million with incentives that can exceed $5 million. The Mavericks have money to spend because of the midlevel exception void left by Brandon Bass' departure.

Can someone (AB ) please list the top FA available? I tried finding it, but couldn't it anywhere. NFL FA's signings are so easy to find, it's pain in the ass to find a decent list when it comes to NBA.

I know Odom is the best available, but who else is out there??

thanks buddy, was about to post it,
Blazers sign Andre Miller PG for $21 million/3 years.

Seems like a good fit for the Blazers and should be a positive contributor. Interesting contrast being paired with Blake at the point. McMillian loves the signing.

Mavs Sign Tim Thomas
Jul 28, 2009 6:31 PM EST

The Dallas Mavericks announced the signing of free-agent forward Tim Thomas on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.

"He is a really good 3-point shooter that can spread the floor for us and will immediately make us a better 3-point shooting team," Mavs owner Mark Cuban said via e-mail. "Plus, he is a far better 1-on-1 post defender than he gets credit for. His defensive points per possession in the post the last couple years has been very good. His length and experience really pay off."

That's not a bad signing at all. 7 mil a year for Andre and only a 3 yr. deal. That's a great deal for Blazers.

on top of that, the 3rd yr is a team option, so blazers hold the cards, if Miller stinks, then they dont pick up his 3rd yr option, but if he plays well, then they have him as a bargain at 7m in yr 3.

Yeup. Excellent deal. If Oden plays up to his potential, this will be a scary team in the West.

Warrick Agrees To Sign With Bucks
Jul 31, 2009 12:41 PM EST

Hakim Warrick has agreed to terms with the Milwaukee Bucks. The athletic 6-9 Warrick can play both forward spots and figures to log heavy minutes in Milwaukee.

The Cavs and Sixers were also pursuing Warrick.

The Bucks are nearing the luxury tax threshold but still have the rights to restricted free-agent Ramon Sessions. The Knicks are reportedly close to offering Sessions some part of their mid-level exception in a multi-year deal. The Bucks would have 10 days to match.
