How do you know that?

from my understanding, the rockets want Amare, but the rumors have been shot down by both teams, but might be BS, so maybe TMAC, Landry and draft choices for Amare.

Yeah i had heard those names too but i think they're kinda handicapped after that news about Yao's foot. Amare + Artest with no real veteran star leader sounds kinda toxic. I just assumed they had kinda pulled out of all major talks until they really know what they have.

I'd love to land Amare as a rockets fan, but the long term extension is a problem, he will want max, plus 2010 FA crop, is amazing, and the rox will have cap room, even with YAO on the books if he opts to stay under contract for 2010/2011, realistically, we could fit Amare, Artest and YAO together under the cap, and still add a shooting, 6th man IMO.

Do you think Amare is an Adleman kinda guy? And i would think Houston might be wary of adding Amare after the TMac experiment kinda failed. All these injuries hitting the rockets, i would think that eye thing has to scare them. My feeling is that if u guys traded for Amare it would be so you could get him off the books and try and pair Yao with Wade.

thats a possibility, Ive heard alot of rockets fans want Wade, not sure he'll leave Miami tho.
I need the extension...end of story

yeah well who knows what happens if Miami rubs Wade the wrong way in the lead up to next summer. I would think Houston is one of the few teams that actually has a legit chance to land Wade, and who knows, doesn't Barkley have a lot of love for Houston, he might be in his lil buddy's ear about it.

for Amare Stoudamire - IF there was no extension in place when you make the deal.I personally would not make the trade unless an extension was in place. It is a lot to give up for potentially a 1 year rental. If they get a contract with Amare in place.. then yes I would do the deal.

I'm only starting to get into basketball so I'm still new to it but would biedrins, Wright, belinelli and like a first round pick in 2010 be enough?

It would, but the Warriors cannot trade any first round picks to the Suns.

They traded away their lottery-protected 2011 first rounder to the Nets in the Marcus Williams deal.

And because you cannot trade away consecutive first round picks in the NBA, they cannot include their 2010 first round pick in any trade for Amare Stoudemire.

lottery protected means if its a lottery pick they don't get it?

Correct.

Here are the details of the retarded Marcus Williams trade

We traded a 2011 first rounder.....

1-14 Lottery protected in 2011 (Nets only get it if the Warriors make the playoffs)

If the pick is not conveyed in 2011.....then the Nets have a chance to get a pick the following year.

1-11 protected in 2012 (Nets get the pick if it's 12th pick or lower)

If the pick is not conveyed in 2012.....then the Nets have a chance to get a pick the following year.

1-10 protected in 2013 (Nets get the pick if its 11th pick or lower)

If the pick is not conveyed by 2013, the Nets get two second round picks from the Warriors in 2013 and 2015.

Since nobody knows when the pick will go to New Jersey and because of the NBA rule saying you cannot trade consecutive first round picks.......the earliest first rounder we can include in a deal for Amare Stoudemire is a 2015 1st round pick .

Whoever is responsible for that trade should be shot.

Either Chris Mullin, Robert Rowell, or Don Nelson.

I was reading the Argus and Don Nelson loves the guy.
I don't watch that much NBA, but I do watch a lot of college. And Curry reminds me a lot of JJ Redick...But take that with a bucket of salt, I'm by no means a basketball expert.
