I think we have a playoff skilled QB and a playoff level coach. I do not think we have a playoff level offensive line and we do not have a playoff level backfield or team of linebackers. And we clearly need a lot of pass rush.
I can see Brady attacking Dontae Johnson all game long and then sending Gronkowski in that area and bulldozing Johnson all the way to the endzone. So no we are not a legit playoff team. Could we beat half of the teams going to the playoff today, I think we could but then when we get to the elite teams I think they would chew us up and spit us out. However, fill in the holes in the offseason and we could compete well.

Lol. This. It's kind of like Brady at this point. Build a ferocious pass rush to get at Jimmy. Which is why we need to get the Oline together. I'd say we'd be an outside playoff team at this point. Sixth seed. Can't say higher because if the Jaguars had Drew Brees as their QB as opposed to Bortles, they win that game. Our defense isn't at the stopping people when a stop is absolutely needed point or shutting teams down consistently. If we address our weaknesses this offseason, then we can be a perennial playoff contender.

Acquiring Jimmy G propelled us far ahead in the rebuilding game. The upcoming FA and draft will be more interesting than ever knowing that the QB situation is set.

NO DOUBT! look at the 5 games we lost by a combined 13 points. We're winning those games with Jimmy under center. Panthers,Eagles, and Seahawks & Cardinals at home were all competitive games too until our Hoyer & BeatHard led offense continuesly went 3 & out until our defenses were totally gassed out by the 3rd quarter. The only game that we got completely outplayed this season was the Dallas game. This team still has a lot of work to do to become legit contenders again,but I'm confident going into next season with the same team (with health) that we are at least a 10 win team

Point is, DC's have been preparing against Hoyer, CJ, not a legit pro.
