Please explain. What exactly should they be ashamed of? And why do you think an easier schedule and another year of getting Kaepernick into the system means a worse record? I don't get your thinking.

By history against us I mean that after a Super Bowl loss, the teams USUALLY have sucked for a while after. There are SOME that have made it back but not many/most teams. You can't compare the 80s teams because of the cap. We cannot hold on to players like we did back then. Many are going to be gone and we will have new players. Not just that but our best player, Gore, is going to be 30. Justin Smith is getting old and is currently injured, and resigning Goldson is going to be very expensive. Also getting new DBs that will preform as well as the past two years is going to be very tough.
About the "easier" schedule... Please... You never know how much our opponents will improve by next season. In top of that the NFC west is super competitive and I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to Seahawks twice, the rams once, and Cardinals once. Yes Keap will have another year under the belt but also coaches will adjust to the Pistol offense.
IMO next year we are going to be lucky to reach the wild card. I think it can be done but I just don't see it passing much more than that at this time. As to the question that our time has passed, I vote yes because going to the Super Bowl is very rare. If you don't win it then you are pretty much set back for awhile. My outlook could change with the draft and free agency though. We need major help in DBs and DL and depth at almost ever position.
About tainted history I mean the undefeated Super Bowls and the no interception by a QB. Both were eraised by this Super Bowl. Am I being too harsh? Am I too mad to think correctly? Probably but Walsh never lost a Super Bowl and Montana and Young never threw an interception. Harbaugh and Keap will never be at the same level as them because of the loss. That is why I hate this Super Bowl.
The best part that I am very positive is the Oline and Keap. That's about it on the offense side. On the defense only Willis and Bowman. Aldon has sucked when it matter the most.

Why do you think the 49ers will "suck for awhile" or are going to be "set back" by the loss? Unless you can show me why losing a Super Bowl makes a team "suck for awhile" I am going to continue to assume that there is no causation between losing the SB and "sucking for awhile".
The 49ers were as good as anyone this year and I have no reason to believe that they will not be as good as anyone next year.

No one in the NFC W has an easier schedule next year. That is obvious.
You have the best O-line in the league. I wish I could say that. You have a great QB. Well, I will hold my words on mine. I'm having faith.
You were in the last game this year. You are the NFC best this year. Your team is staying together, for the most part with little loss, and you have 11 draft picks, most of any team in the league. You don't even need to play your rookies.
I see no reason for the negative for Niner fans.
I hope you can't beat us again twice next year. Why? Because you are the team to beat.

It takes a rams fan to come here and slap some sense into some of you? God, some of you guys are pathetic. Just do us all a favor and stop watching football. Bunch of sissies...

You kind of sound like a Pat's fan with what I put in bold.
Maybe that is not bad?
49ers fans have a different mindset when it comes to the SB. We had never lost one. Never had anything but greatness happen playing in one. 5-0 was really important to us, so getting that 1 loss just tainted our perfect record. I have said for years that unless we were going to win it, i would rather lose the NFCCG every time.
Maybe that arrogant and picky, considering most teams would kill just to make a SB. But, its how most Niner fans feel. This loss was a crushing blow, and really kind of tarnished our SB tradition.

Likely no one in NFL history will ever go 5-0 in the SB. Technically, losing in the SB is just a playoff loss. Also having so man NFCCG losses isn't so glamorous, and I think we have the most.

We do have 12 draft picks in this upcoming draft. Its not like Baalke is going to draft 12 punters, I'm sure he is going to involve some in trades to get a #2 wr. I believe in this team. Do you? Don't forget Kaep is only going to get better

14 draft picks. We're getting compensatory picks for some reason. 3 picks in the 3rd round, which will be huge IMO. I hope we draft the top rated kicker this year.

If you were on any real football team, you would be shown the door immediately with that attitude.

This is embarrassing. Well, hilarious, depressing, and embarrassing all at the same time.
I apologize to the Rams fan for having to deal with this nonsense.
