Super Bowl roll call....who's going to New Orleans?

Shop Find 49ers gear online
Thought about starting a new thread specifically tackling accomodations info but it would probably have merged with this one so here i go :

HOTEL :
Prices in NOLA are insane
Baton rouge is a good option being 90 minutes away by car via I-10
Got a single room 3 N for 350$ at BW chateau louisianne

PARKING :
Two options in my opinion
Parkwhiz.com you can find from 38$ (fulton garage is across street from convention center, 25 min walk from stadium) then 75$ and up
Or
You park at the convention center blvd where the NFL EXPERIENCE takes place and it's only 20$ (got mail to confirm it was open after game's end)

With those two options you can attend the NFLE which is 10am-4pm on gameday and 25$ for adults

And if you gotta collect your ticket (like me) at the NFLTICKET exchange desk at the Sheraton it's on canal street which is a 15 min walk, total 35 min to stadium

TRAFFIC :
Roads and I-10 exits will be closed BE AWARE !!!
Here's the link to NOLA traffic info

Have a nice and safe trip, enjoy the game and remember :
Carpe diem and Goooooooooooo NI-NER-ZZZZZZZZZZ !!!!!

For the record i'm NOT from NOLA

Hopefully it's not a scam (rented house)

Thank you for the heads up for people possibly going the route I went. airbnb.com runs all of the transactions through their website, limiting scams, however not completely ridding the issue. Here is a quick FAQ on scams. Also, make sure the pictures of the house rental you have are certified by airbnb.com and the transaction ONLY goes through the website.

Booked my flight! Getting in the morning of the game and flying out 7AM Monday morning! No hotel needed!
GOING!! Doing the 49er same day chartered flight, 5 am out of Oakland and back. Should be a great day. Maybe the best day of my short life.
Hope you guys enjoy it. I wish I could go myself but $2k a ticket is just too much for this guy.

I got to be at the NFCC game. That was awesome for me and so much lower in price than the SB will be.
I TOTALLY lucked out and got tickets. Never thought I was going to be able to go so found this site looking for fellow fans. I found a room on the MS side of the border at Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis which is 60 miles away.

My brother, my friend and myself are all booked no tickets to the game though. Land in NOLA Saturday at 11:45AM, Fly out of Gulfport on Tuesday at 6:25AM. Can't wait! I was 12 when we won the last bowl...now I'm 30. Figured I beter go now because I may never get a chance to go again.

For anyone still looking, we rented a house on airbnb.com. No hotels for 35-40 miles out of the city.

Does anyone know where a good spot to watch the game is? I'm assuming anywhere on Bourcon, Decatur, but it would be great if Niner fans could pack a bar/area.

I used to live in NOLA. Everywhere is going to be packed obviously but a good spot close to the action is Walk Ons on Poydras. Most of the spots on Bourbon aren't designed to really watch games. I've never been but Manning's just opened up by Harrah's and has stadium seating but not sure how much of it.
Booked the trip from Boise on Monday. Flying into Houston and picking up a rental car and then driving to Baton Rouge and staying at a Best Western for 90 a night. The only thing I haven't booked yet is parking. Does anyone know any places to buy a parking pass for the game? Thanks.

Yeah, it's a good idea to wait until next week to pickup unsold tix for cheap.
