lol Only thing is Akers was the best kicker in the league only one season ago. Should have felt a little better than this to hit the bench. Better then blowing it hard and possibly permanently losing his job.
That explains a lot of the things Nedney said about the technique.
The Lions have had alot to complain about over the years, but having Jason Hanson as a solid, reliable kicker for 21 years now is insanely valuable.

I still cant believe hes been their kicker since 1992. If you go back and watch the old footage of Joe Montana's final game with the 49ers, week 17 of 1992 I think, its against the Lions, and Jason Hanson kicks the ball off to begin the 2nd half. Its so weird that hes STILL playing.
