Gosh ... I REALLY feel OLD!
Y.A. Tittle
Bobby St. Clair
Leo Nomellini
Hugh McElhenny

Johnny Brodie came in around 1957? He was from Oakland, CA and went to Stanford. Also became a Pro Golfer after football.

Did you know that the 49er's had a guy named Clay Matthews back in the 50's?

Regardless of how you feel about what happened Kap, Harbaugh & Smith, I strongly believe that you need to have two good QBs in today's NFL. I hope he stays. I know he has limitations and his success has a lot to do with the Harbaugh/Roman system but he still had to go out and do the job and perform to win games. Under Harbaugh Alex has done just that. The odds of Kap staying healthly for a full season are 50/50 at best. We need a backup who we can trust so we dont skip a beat. But regardless of how I feel I do agree Alex wont be with us next season.

The league is too tough for a top QB to excel if the other pieces are not in place.

None of those guys have excelled when the team around them has been bad.

Luck has a 75.5 qb rating with 20 tds and 18 ints. That's not excelling.

Well they were bad enough to draft Luck!

I took it to mean that he was showing those guys as a counter to the idea that even good qbs need the team around them to be good to excel.

Idk why Baltimore comes to mind when I think of places Alex could be next year and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Harbaugh has already been talking to John about this as well Flacco has always been inconsistent and TO happy, something Alex has not been the last 2 and a half years or so.

Seems like a great fit too, strong D and strong running game.

He may not want to go to another Harbaugh after this.

thats what i just thought lol

signing bonus can change that mentality....
