And nobody questions the fact that we only threw 19, er, 20 passes against one of the worst secondaries I've ever seen and we were pretty far down on YPC...and STILL dominated in every facet.
???
Teams had a QB rating of 64 vs. that defense going into the game.

um.....how the hell do we protest that? It looks clearly like a backward pass.
yall sure it wasn't another play? I know that's an NFL site, but even their writers have turned into drama queens lately.

Wait, doesn't this depend on whether or not the ball traveled forward? Does the spot where Crabtree caught it affect the ruling?

Apparently there is a 2nd play in question also?
I like it, let's make it 20/21 for 247

Alex Smith should just strive to break the record against the Rams.

They have no reason to say it mayo. They just say it for reactions.

The 2nd play the refs said we accepted the penalty and I was wondering why. Maybe they didn't want the cards to challenge because it looked like there was a possibility that the ball hit the ground.

We stole the Packers playbook that day.
Checkdowns , slants , screens, just no playaction bombs.
Smithers took sacks instead, and heavy hits.

There is no doubt to the 49er players that JH will not throw them under the bus.
He sticks up for and is sometimes WAY over the top in complimenting his guys.

May sound crazy, but I think Alex eventually breaks this record. I've never seen a QB protect the football like he does.
