Ran the numbers....what's funny is that it would actually LOWER his QB rating by a point for the night to 156.2 from 157.1.
You know you had a good night when getting an extra completion for 8 yards LOWERS your QB Rating.

I thought Alex had already broken it. 18 out of 19 is 94.7%. Kurt got 92.31%.
How does he not have the record and it's a minimum of 15 attempts.

there are 2 records, one for the minimum of 20 attempts and one for the minimum of 15 attempts I'm guessing

I see what you mean, but when they say we aren't a "stats team," it's more about not deviating from the gameplan for the sake of stats. But if, by sending an e-mail to review a play, it gets your prized QB into the NFL record-books and increased respect throughout the media/league, then by all means. Harbaugh doesn't want his players to be selfish and not be team players, but if there's a chance to be positively recognized (records, Pro Bowls, etc.), then he wants his players to be seen as such.
It's especially important for a guy like Alex Smith, who is consistently kicked whenever he's "down."

Im kind shocked that nobody on the staff knew that he was close to the record. They should have called one more pass play for him.
