Once Ginn returns I'd like to see him active over Kyle Williams. I can understand why he's inactive right now because Williams is needed for special teams duties, but once Ginn is back I think he should be our 4th receiver.

I'm of the opinion that both will get playing time as the season goes on. We drafted these guys for the big/explosive play ability they both showed in college.
We have shown improvement in the overall O but not really in the big play department. Some of that is simply play calling but some of it is the lack of top end speed and or quickness by our players.
The quickness of James is a real asset that we could use! In the good old days of the WCO, we utilized the HB pass much more and it was hugely effective. James could be a monster in the flat on those passes and create a nightmere for defenders. Frank is still great at running between the tackles but is less effective on the edge due to a lack of speed these days.
Got to get the Lb's worried about that play so they aren't dropping too deep over the middle. Right now they are more worried about VD and Crabs intermediate routes.
But at this point, both are probably still trying to get the plays down pat and still learning how to adjust on the fly. Lots to learn and I'm sure Jim wants them to just react and not think while on the field. By the end of the year, they will both be big contributors to the O!!

I think Jenkins will be in and Moss will be out within the next couple of weeks.

They are both victims of the Overdraft !! I remember a guy much like myself that said we shouldnt over-draft/over stack because when it comes to the active/game roster and getting playing time, you waste good players b'cuzz you cant play/keep everybody- to which I,,,err he was booed/criticized...Hmmmm, guess I/he was right ehh ??

When was the last time a teams 1st and 2nd round picks weren't even good enough to dress for games ?
yeah jenkins is a bust to be benched over moss and crabtree
But I would love to give LaMichael a chance next week
Moss has looked very, very average thus far. His only value appears to be as a decoy. It's either that or Smith can't get him the ball. I don't know which.

I've been a big Moss supporter since the signing but where the hell are the hops? Smith's pass was high no doubt but damn??? His vertical looked about as good as mine out there. Maybe it was just the angle but it looked like he has lost quite a bit in his leaping ability.

They might as well just cut just Moss right now because it looks like he's gonna quit in a few weeks anyways and just play Jenkins and let him learn. As far LMJ goes I think he should take Dixons spot and work him into the rotation we need some big play guys because we know Alex aint gonna go deep with the ball.

We have no vertical game, so Moss isn't doing us much good. Jenkins would be a better fit for what we're doing right now.

Moss hasn't gone deep with conviction because the coach's aren't sending him deep (YET). You all are looking for someone to whine about again.

He's not a possession Wr like we're making him. Like I said in another thread I'm just not sure about the fit with Moss in this offense.

I would like to see jenkins and james play in a game this year. Maybe not the same game but who would you all be comfortable deactivating for them to play?

Riding the pine....They're learning how to become professionals...Both are not ready to play significant time at this point....You want to have LaMichael James in the backfield to pick up blitzers? Good luck, he'll get run over and get our QB killed...AJ needs to get better at catching the rock and learning the intricacies of the offense etc....Plus again AJ's not going to bowl any DB over when he had to block down the field for Frank Gore either...Both need to physically mature into their positions but also learn the nuances of being a professional football player. I fully expect more playing time for both as the season matures.

They are going to keep Moss quiet until the playoffs and then turn him loose. It will be treated like an anomaly the first two playoff games then people will have to game plan it also.
