Does the coaching staff stay if we win?

Interesting speculation but many of these guys are not HC material. They are assistants by nature...though that could change. Ed Donatell could leave to be a DC somewhere unless the 9ers can give him a secure package near the DC range. Fangio has been a DC since 1979, at various levels. Roman kicked the Penn State tires this off season but I really don't see him as a HC...

Harbaugh did a great job of surrounding himself with talented assitants who are specialists and are capable of checking their egos. Unless his manic pace wears them out I think most are going for a long ride.
We don't lose superbowls, never speak of that happening again,
The answer to your posted question is...no.
I personally think our coaching staff will be torn apart if we win the superbowl. They will be in high demand given our success. In order I think these are our most important coaches

1. Harbaugh
2. Roman
3. Fangio
4. Chryst
5. Seeley
6. Donatell
7. Tomsula
If we have another season like 2011 our coaching staff will be raided.

just curious how this is "idiotic?"

this is exactly how the rest of the NFL beat us... by raiding our staff. we could no longer hire from within. hell, it was going on even when we were in the middle of our losing decade.
If Roman goes , Chryst will take over as OC

If Fangio goes , then Donatell will take over as DC, and we dont miss a beat

once we reach a level of success, as in a superbowl victory , then our coordinators will be hot commodities and other teams will hope our formula will translate into success for their teams , it doesnt always work, but thats how things usually pan out

Honestly , I would be more upset over losing Seeley than Roman & Fangio
If a fanbase gets to complain about losing their coaching staff to other teams, they should consider themselves incredibly lucky to have a good one.

I agree. Do you think Jed will fork over the money to keep them around?

Having never been in a Pro Football back office, how does something like this usually go down? Is it similar to player trade talks or something? Does JY, PM and JH sit around and figure who's expendable, and who is necessary to stay?
Great coaching staffs never stay together long.
I think our most important assistant, Vic Fangio, will be here for a long time.

I think you are underestimating what Fangio brought to the defense last year.
this can be said about the players too

Right now the defense has among the best position coaches in the NFL. They also have one of the best DCs. To take any one coach away could hurt the D more than you would think. Yes, they are replacable, but with the same caliber of coach? I doubt it. Thankfully, the schemes are in place and it is easier to maintain the team after all the players are use to and competent in the system. That's why the 9ers didn't fall apart when Walsh retired...key players remained at almost every position. But the current scheme has only been in place for a short time so there would be more adjusting. The offense is more Harbaugh's charge and is fairly safe.

I think I would move Tomsula up on that list as the most valuable position coach on staff
