Obviously, but he's not going to do that in 1 Training Camp, he'll be on the field eventually but he's gotta earn that s**t first

Did anyone ever think that Jenkins might have already "beat out" KW or Ginn but JH wants to give Jenkins as long as possible to adapt to the NFL so keeping him ouf of the fire is as easy as saying he is low on the depth chart because he is a rookie when everyone else on the roster as at least 2 full years of NFL experience compared to his none?

if the "best players play" mantra is true, then no

Yah I dont think JH is into playing mind games like that with his players.

A.J. Jenkins came into camp and couldn't even stay on his feet, he's improved each and ever week, but he's still a rookie this isn't Jerry Rice that's a once in a life time player. He has a learning curve this is the nfl, speed of the game, playbook, knowing if your the hot route if it's a blitz. Takes time, but just like aldon, I thought it was a great pick, and he should sit and learn and watch players like Moss, Crabtree, Manningham, he will learn a lot from them, theres no rush unless we take a injury he will get a shot to be active and play... They will work him in slowly just like aldon coming in on passrushing downs. He also can play punt and return man in case ginn goes down, and kyle struggles. They want to build his confidence up, just like colin... And sometimes sit behind a guy and learn everything he knows is a great thing look at Aaron from the packers he sat years behind farve. He will get his chance, and maybe this will give him a chip on his shoulder, to prove he's better than the Kyle williams a 6th round pick, you've got to fight for a chance to start, it's not giving to you on this team...
Rodgers sat for 4 years behind a HOF QB who was still winning. This is not even close to the same thing.

hahaha what ... No he sat 1 year behind a winning qb that would be the 2007 season! I put up favre stats and wins of him durning the 2005-2007 to prove that point...

Aaron Rodgers was drafted in 2005, this is how he learned from a so called great player...
2005 36 Years old GNB QB 4, games played and started 16. Record for that year 4-12-0... Comp passes 372, the attempts 607, qb comp rating 61.3, yards 3881 Touchdowns 20, Int's 29... Qb rating 70.9!!!
2006 37 Years old GNB QB 4, games played and started 16. Record for that year 8-8-0... Comp passes 343 the attempts 613, qb comp rating 56.0, yards 3885. Touchdowns 18, Int's18... 8-8 isn't winning like getting a tie in a football game... Qb rating 72.7!!!
2007* 38 Years old GNB QB 4, games played and started 16. Record for that year 13-3-0... Comp passes 356 the attempts 535, qb comp rating 66.5, yards 4155. Touchdowns 28, Int's 15... The only year Rodgers sat behind a winning qb... His final year QB rating 95.7, Only year you can say rodgers sat behind a winning qb!
In 2008 Jets aquired Farve, he had 22 Touchdowns, and Int's 22, rating for that year was 81.0. That same year rodgers threw for 28 touchdowns, and 13 int's rating of 93.8.
Farves best year was 2009 with the Vikings this year he had 33 Touchdowns and Int's 7, rating 107.2 this is his only season in his 20 year career he posted a rating in the 100's!!!!
Aaron rodgers also had a great year in 2009 30 Touchdowns, and Int's 7, his rating was 103.2. This was a break out year for him ok well he did have a 93.8 rating in 2008, but he's posted a rating of 100, 3 years in a row, and looks like he could make it 4 years in a row...

Farve and the packers started to have a rift after this season, He wanted to be traded, either to the lions or the vikings because he believe the team wouldn't be good enough anytime soon to win another superbowl before he left the game, haha idoit they won in 2010 his last season in the nfl... They said no to a trade in the division, He retires. Decides that was dumb, and comes back the packers trade him, but to the jets.

3 seasons not 4...simple mistake.

that's a winning record

and this still has nothing to do with AJ sitting

haha Yes 3 seasons, but you said he played behind a winning qb, Only 1 year did he ever play behind a winning qb. Manningham has a few superbowl rings, Moss is considered one of the greatest wr's ever to play behind the Goat. Crabtree has showed he's a good player and can be part of a team. Ginn will be active because of his special teams talent, and his speed to open the top of the defense to help the other wr's. Kyle has proven he can be counted on...

Everyone just remembers one game the giants when it comes to williams, This is not the case, Ginn was injured due to his ankle. Kyle Williams missed the 49ers last regular-season game because of a concussion. Given his history, he was no doubt informed along the way of the dangers posed by just one concussion, let alone the compounding effect of each one after that, and it's considered he's had 4. He shouldn't have played that game for health reason. And as a Niner fan through the bad times and good, I've never seen a fan base be so cruel, even Alex Smith was never hated this much and he play 6 crappy years not just one bad game.

I cannot believe the fans, he gave his heart even if he's head wasn't there, and all we did was send death threats, Even the Eagles Fans look classy.. The Kid wasn't health, only a second year player, Playing in the biggest game of his life to date, of coarse he is going to make mistakes, but clearly he's a bigger man than any fan here; he excepted he made a mistake and let the fans down. A man admits he made a mistake and learns from that lesson...

Ginn, Manningham, Crabtree and kyle williams have injury issues, A.J will get a shot because not ever player will stay health in front of him. But He will be learning from guys that have been winners. He's not a short term fix, that's what moss is for, A.J is for the future and will be groomed as such, I'm in no rush to force him in the line up, But if we take an injury he will be in. I believe he was drafted for Colin, not Alex smith.... I say this because one alex doesn't throw deep, and Colin arm is so big we needed a guy who was fast and had soft hands to catch passes from him...

Colin, Aj, and James are being Groomed togather to learn how to become winners, and work on their crafts. Were a deep team we don't need to start rookies, that's the thing when your good you draft the best player you can, for future reason let them sit adjust to the game, not hurt the team by making mistakes and costing the team wins. I rather have williams starting because he's already made his mistakes, he really didn't get the time to learn behind great players that are winners like Colin, A.J. and James will...

i dont get why people are dissapointed at him

am i the only one who saw him get constant seperation during preseason? he sat in soft parts of zone and defintially has the speed to comete and the brains to be a great WR - he has things that takes years of experience before WR can do it effectively

he does need a year to bulk up but anyone dissapointed of what we have seen needs to look at him again

He looks really, really fast out there. I hope he sees the field.

He will, in November
he's our future #2 receiver

who is our future #1?
Crabtree has another 2 years, then I doubt he resigns. Moss will be gone by then, and probably Manningham too.

Or are you suggesting Vernon #1 and Jenkins #2?

Crabtree will want Jackson money, and he's a number 2 at best... Maybe he's thinking Moss will play tell he's Jerry Rice's age!

I disagree with a lot of the Crabtree hate, I see a lot more value in him as a player than what appears to be the majority of 49er fans...but I don't doubt he'll want an inflated contract (Especially if this season is any good) given his history.

He might be in for a Goldson type situation where eh's overvalued himself and the market will show him that. I could see him returning if this is the case.
Did they actually said that Jenkins will be inactive Sunday or is it just some guy that blogged his opinion....

Reporters opinion - However with Ginn likely out I doubt Jenkins is withheld as well. Especially with Jacobs also possibly out at RB -- look for both Jenkins and James to active.
