In the media/sports world, a black man accused of violence/sexual-misconduct = more evil than Hitler.
Agreed, its hard especially for athletes in denver. Unbelievable amount of young girls (5 colleges basically feed the city a new crop of 20 somethings every year) and 90% of those chicks that are in the bars/clubs are looking for money. It's also not very cultural (ie: mostly white), so if youre a non-white guy in trouble prepare to be judge by a mostly white populus. Brandon Marshall, Lelie, Carmello, Cox etc. all got in trouble, but it was magnified by the demographic of who writes the stories out here. Hell Woody Paige is the best sports writer out here and hes a frikkin idiot.

Makes sense with the risk of losing Rogers/Ginn

This team has more head cases than a mental institution..... We are the new Raiders. Now all we need to do is sign T.O. and bring things full circle.

I agree. But I also don't think this signing will have any impact on our attempt to re-sign both. Ginn is a better KR/PR and Rogers is a better CB.

and it's never the gold diggin' woman's fault.
lol yeah scew those passed out people who get carried into a room without their awareness! Also forget those teammates who testify about it and say the player is a rapist!
Seriously not feeling this signing. I could get behind the Moss signing but this? We are becoming the NFL's version of the 2003-2005 Portland Trailblazers, aka the Portland Jailblazers. Can't believe we're wasting cap space and a roster spot on this. WTF is the FO doing!?
Teammates testified to it? Does the DA in Denver just really suck, then?
no one on his team said that, in fact it was Demaryius Thomas' testimony and the DAs failure to call another witness that freed Cox. Thomas' testimony brought it into doubt whether or not the girl was asleep or passed out and that she possibly willingly had sex before or after "passing out" or "falling asleep".
Had the DA called a witness who possible couldve refuted Thomas' claims then Cox would be sitting in prison awaiting sentencing right now.
IMHO I dont think Cox raped her but more importantly this is an example of our judicial system actually working.

Yeah, why are people calling this kid a rapist? He was already acquitted. Wasn't Kobe's "victim" from Colorado, also? Trifling ass white girls there.

Kobe was in Vail, Eagle county I think.. even whiter than Denver. And Darrent Williams was the CB, who got shot due to Marshall mouthing off in a club. I knew one of the girls in the limo with him, and to here her version makes one want to spit in Marshalls face and give him the Archer rampage treatment..

Cox wasn't signed to "replace" Rogers, Culliver is his "replacement". He was signed as #3 or 4 CB to push Brock for the Nickel, he also doubles as immediate insurance against Ginn leaving, even though I still see us signing Eddie Royal or drafting another CB or WR with KR skills.
I've thought Ginn would be gone since we nearly cut him at the beginning of the season, the entire idea behind what happen was take a cut and we'll give you a shot FA a year sooner. Ginn proved his worth to some degree and I think another team especially a WR desperate team like the Jags, Skins, Bears, Bucs, Rams, etc etc will easily over pay him compared to our pre-determined value.

This seems like a Patriots kind of move. Give a guy a shot, one mess up and he's gone.
