What's Worse: Kyle Williams '12 NFCC Fumble(s) or Roger Craigs in '90

What's Worse: Kyle Williams '12 NFCC Fumble(s) or Roger Craigs in '90

The Craig fumble in 1990 for a couple of reasons.

1. The1990 team was far more balanced (offense/defense) than the 2011 team and was built to win the Super Bowl. The 2011 team was really not. The defense completely carried the offense.

2. Had Craig fumbled a couple of plays later, the Giants would have burned through all their timeouts and the 2 minute warning and the game would have been over, well mostly over
It's like having a physical injury, the one twenty years ago is a memory that heals over time, this Kyle Williams one is fresh and the pain is still there.
f**k man..enough with these god damn threads. Can we just all try and forget without everyday someone starting a new stupid thread about the god damn fumbles. f**k.
Roger Craig's was worse because we expected to be in that game and competing for a Super Bowl, this yr we were fortunate and unexpectedly there.
Just think, if the 49ers offenses in both of those games could have scored a measly 20 points, we wouldn't be having this conversation. There are numerous reasons that the 49ers lost both of those games. The simplest and most glaring are the fumbles. There's no guarantee that the 49ers would have have 3-peated then or won the SB next week.
Both against the Giants.
Craig's fumble was worse, because it ruined the chance to 3-peat. However, this thread is worse than both of them.
Kyle Williams fumble is more painful mainly because we have not made it this far in the season in over a decade. The 1990 49ers were in the midst of their glory days and were perennial playoff contenders, so it made up for it a little.
Nothing is worse than KW. He did it twice guys. Not once. Don't you see the difference there?

Having suffered through both, Kyle Williams was worse..because the New Orleans Saints game was such as emotional high, then to have the NY Giants at home as another surprise when we expected to go to Green Bay (and maybe lose)...Knowing we already beat the Giants earlier in the season...A blown opportunity to go to the Superbowl after so long...an Alex Smith story that was waiting to be told, but will not...feeling bad for Gore and the others who played through years of losing...This one stings more...Although losing the three-peat is not too far behind..
We were only favored by 1 point last week. Pretty much a very even matchup.

In 1990 we were favored to win by 8!!!! We were upset big time. Craig just had to not fumble and we win.

Kyle was trying to make a play bc our offense was stalling our drives with 3 and outs left and right. Who knows if we would have won.

Craig doesn't fumble we win for sure
Don't be badmouthing Roger Craig !

Without him you don't have any but ONE of those trophies !

In sheer magnitude, nothing compares to the Craig fumble given the weight of the situation. C'mon guys, that was for a "Three Peat", remember? This year, we weren't even given our due, we weren't supposed to be there so it's all gravy.

Again, it's POV, but Craig's fumble for what it meant at the time, wins hands down!
