I think free agency starts March 13

Bring in some WR's so we can cut Williams

We need a redzone threat and a guy with speed who can catch

This is the first year I am thinking to myself "another off season with Jed, Baalke, and Harbaugh and we will be that much better. Can't wait to get a decent receiving corps and be back in the NFC championship next year! then hopefully superbowl.

We got here bc we officially have a legit coach and GM who know what they are doing (Saints, Patriots, Giants, Pitt etc) who had very little to prepare this year.

We will get better, hopefully enter team of the decade talk.

I don't doubt that we will be better...but that doesn't necessary equate to a better record or a better chance at a Super Bowl.

Again, this was our chance and we (Kyle Williams) f**ked it up.

Wow. I absolutely disagree with you on every level. There is absolutely zero reason to be pessimistic on the 49ers future.

- Most of the starters will be back
- Superstar coach
- Superstar GM
- All-world defense with pro bowlers on every level
- QB who is incredibly stable, efficient and clutch.
- Tons of cap room to sign our FAs and plug holes
- Tied for the league lead in Pro Bowl players

Will we get a first-round bye? Maybe not. But we will be back in the playoffs for the foreseeable future. And as we've seen this year, anything can happen once you're in.

I'm already pondering how awesome this team is going to be next season given everything we've gone through this season.

You have to remember, Harbaugh only tweaked a couple of pieces his first year because he wanted to see what worked for him, and what didn't (not even Harbaugh knew it would go this far).

Now HE knows... now things get 'scary' good.

We had a hell of a year when NO ONE including many people on this board gave us a shot. To come within one muffed punt of Super Bowl speaks volumes about the character of this team, and the coaching ability of Jim Harbaugh. We WILL be back next year. Book it.

I'll move on when we're in the super bowl again.
