Man he is starting to wear thin on me this year. Awesome and money last year. 63 yarder NFL record this year. Yet misses FG after FG in huge moments at the end of the game. I don't trust him at all anymore and our entire special teams has taken a massive dropoff.

He shouldn't have missed that kick, but he's not the reason we came away without a win. Look no farther than our defense giving up 14 point in back-to-back drives at home. Steven Jackson made us his b*tch all day long.

Its becoming increasingly clear that Akers is becoming the failed kickers the Eagles cut two years ago. He has missed 6 FGs this year, most happened in games we lost or tied. If the 49ers have any hope of making the playoffs this year, they are going to have to bring in new kickers this Tuesday and challenge him for his job. If someone can unseat him in the challenges, then they should cut Akers.

Andy looked like an idiot last year.

Just take it for what it is. Akers is in a funk. He's not washed up, and he's not a god either. He's more than capable of overcoming this slump.
