Was Ted Ginn's punt return for a TD a good thing?

All the over-analyzing is rather pointless when they won the freaking game.

Yes. As you pointed out, we were up by two possessions already, which can be overcome in 3 minutes. A quick Defensive stop, a quick TD or FG, and an onside kick and another score. Its tough but i've seen it happen.
With the punt return TD, we went up by 3 possessions which is insurmountable at that point in the game.
16 points=2 possessions, not 3

No they're not. Remember this?

Also, think about it- say you're up 1 point with a minute or so left. Why would you want to score a TD? You give the other team the ball and it's still a 1 score game.
we werent up by one point though
In the game you posted the Cowboys had no timeouts, Seahawks still had one TO and the 2 minute warning

No I know, and neither were the Eagles when Westbrook did his thing...it's just an example to prove that a TD is not always the best thing.

Again, it's debatable, but it's certainly POSSIBLE that being up 12 (2 touchdowns) with 2 mins left with the other team having no timeouts could possibly be better than being up 16 (2 touchdowns) with 3 mins left and the other team having 3 timeouts left...

What are forums for? I was wondering something, and decided to post it. Sure either way we were likely to win (and did), but I still think the 12 point lead with making them drain their timeouts and taking a bit more time off the clock would have clinched it even more

In that Eagles game Westbrook did the right thing. In our game Ginn did the right thing. 2 different scenarios

How the hell can you clinch something "even more"?
If it's clinched, it's clinched, right???
Forum or not, you're not making any sense, bro.

TDs are terrible for this team! It gives players, coaches and fans reason to celebrate and that false hope can lead to more misery. Ginn, if you're reading this, signal "fair catch" on punts and don't touch the ball on the kick off, too.

My mistake, they had 2 timeouts not 3. So you're looking at being up 12 with 2 mins left with the other team having no timeouts or up 16 with 3 mins left and the other team having 2 timeouts. You don't think it's POSSIBLE that the former is more advantageous than the latter?
And I wasn't using the Westbrook or the 1 point example to compare it to this- that was simply just to inform susweel that TD's are NOT gonna ALWAYS be the right play. Here's another one just for s**ts and giggles:

Ill take them having to score 4 times(2 Tds and two 2 point conversions) every time

Fair enough, but it's certainly debatable.
