Of course, Gore can fumble the ball but I think that the risk for a fumble is way smaller than that for a interception. Furthermore, a fumble at the LOS doesnt have a big chance for a direct return.

One has to think about that especially when it's 4th and inches right in front the opp's endzone and you are leading. An interception in that situation is as good as returned for a TD.

Most failed passes are just incomplete actually. And even if they are interceptions, only a fraction result in points off the turnover, and much smaller fraction result in a pick six.

They were moving the ball on us after their half-time adjustments. It would have come down to the wire. "Probably would have lost" is too strong OK. But without Ginn the game was a coin flip.

Watching the game I knew there would be Debbie Downers here complaining that we only won because of Ginn. But the truth is we won because our team made playes when they had to. Period. That's because we have a coach who sit's on the sideline with a clue and a belief that he's going to win. That's powerful and it filters down into his staff and players.

More good things to come, whiners. Get used to it. In fact take your sh!tty loser attitudes and go root for whoever the new bottom feeding franchise is. You're a drain on our good karma.

Alex Smith only completed 70%+ of his passes, had 0 TD's and a rushing TD with a QB rating of 90+...oh and we won!!! Yea he's right we totally should have thrown for 422 yards and lost. That is clearly the better thing to do.

I don't understand why people bring up Cam's 400+ yard game when it isn't relevant to our offensive performance. You guys have to realize that every team has their own gameplan. The Panthers went into their game with the intention of passing the ball aggressively while the 49ers went with a more conservative approach.

Here is the reason it is significant.

We have seen what the conservative "play not to lose" approach gets us with Mike Nolan and Mike Singletary. It gets us to perhaps 2-0 at the start of the season, and no playoffs at the end of the season. If you like what Mike Nolan and Singletary did, then that is fine, but we brought Harbaugh in to CHANGE that philosophy, not to continue it.

Teams who play with only defense and special teams, are rarely good. The Ravens and the Bucs used to win that way, but they were rare exceptions.
Why would we want to CONTINUE with the Nolan and Singletary philosophies? Weren't we upset with them? What has changed since then?

Our defense and special teams are better, but is this what we wanted with Harbaugh bringing back the "west coast offense"? Wasn't this supposed to be something DIFFERENT?

I'm not saying we will lose the rest of our games or go 1-15, like some have said, I am saying that IF we do not improve our offense in the coming weeks, we will lose. Let's hope they can improve it before then.
