I pretty much agree with your list. The Niners may keep 5 safeties because they like both Spillman and Jones for their special team skills. T. Brown might be a surprise cut. Nice list.

I think Johnson could make it if A) Crabtree's injury lingers or B) Edwards is suspended. Otherwise I don't think they will keep more than 5, and as of right now I think he's on the outside looking in. I'd be happy if he made it, though.

I do think they will probably keep fewer lineman than I have listed. Either Person to PS or Wragge cut, which opens a spot for either a WR, S, or DL.

I think Spillman makes it for special teams. if Williams makes it I think it will be over Jones, who I have on there now just for ST. For some reason, I just don't think Williams makes it.

Idk why people think Costanzo wont make the team. He was seely's ST Ace in CLE.

I think we may actually dress 3 back-up OL (Boone, Snyder, Wragge). Assuming everyone is healthy, I'd expect the 8 inactives to be McCown, R. Johnson/K. Williams (whoever is less impactful on special teams), Kilgore, Reuland, I. Williams.....aaaaand havin a real tough time deciding who the other 3 should be.

hmmm, I did not know that, actually. Does he play ILB?

If so, McKillop is on the bubble. I almost didn't include him on my list but figured that we would keep more ILB's, that he was a decent backup pre-injury, and a good ST player. Maybe Costanzo bumps him?

Yeah he is a ILB.

I could see both of those, though I'd rather the team keep Adams than Brown. We're not going to get anything more from Brown than what we've already gotten. I'm not sure what Williams gives to the team since the Goldson signing, and Jones has more ST value (especially if he learns to tackle. )

If you're referring to my post I guess 50/50 heart vs logic. I thought about Wragge but I have this thinking about not putting draft picks on the P.S (even though I put C.Jones on it because of the #'s at safety) and I know that teams not always keep every draft pick and if an injury occurs with 1 or 2 of the interior lineman I think Wragge will be still available to re-sign.With that I left him off. In regards to Williams I think we only keep 6 DL and Dobbs looks like he's going to make the squad. Now with Norris I'm with you that was one choice I definitely went with my heart.

I think with the rumor going around that they passed on a 3rd round pick for Mays means they may hang on to him for the year, unless a better deal came along. If they do I think Brock or Brown would be gone.
The fullback position is kinda hard to predict right now, I'd like to see Miller get most of the reps for the rest of the preseason, with Corcoran getting some too. They know what they have in Norris so they need to decide if either of the other 2 will be better.

am i the only one who thinks jennings roster spot is a waste? i know he is a great LS, maybe best in the league. but r u telling me that they can't teach any other OL how to LS. harbaugh wants versatile players. maybe he gets cut. i have nothing against the guy, but i think the spot could be used for depth at another position.

Agree regarding Wragge and Person or Kilgore to PS. Unless there is something wrong with Wragge he is too versatile to drop.

yes, yes you are.

Pro Bowler, Longest Tenured 49er, and a great guy.

And not overpaid. Worth the pay. I would rather have him over say a rook like Kilgore, or even Wragge. Jennings has been doing this for yrs since 2000.
