49ers that you met in public (not at autograph signing, games etc...)

Being a member of the 49ers Faithful in NJ can be tough, as a result, I've never met anybody from the Niners in public.

My mom happened to meet Bart Oates where she works in NJ right after he retired. Got his autograph.

That sums it up...

that was in DC, ive met him a few weeks after but didnt have a camera, also met and took pics with Brandon Lloyd but dont have that pic on this computer
Ronnie Lott, Charles Haley, Tony Brown, Dave Fiore, Chuck Levy(grew up same neighborhood), Ricky Ervins, John taylor(vacation was at a truck stop, driving his own truck), and RICE 9my wifes family is from Crawford, Miss., and one her cousins BeTina, is married to WR Donald Driver)..
i met roger craig playing basketball in an indoor gym when i was 10 years old. coolest guy ever.
I met the GOAT when I was like 12. It was when the 9ers held thier training camps outside of Sacramento. Went to the driving range to hit some golf balls with my Dad, Grandpa and brother. When we went into the proshop the attendent told us Jerry was out there. We pulled up a couple spots right next to him. It was funny at that time because Jerry wasn't a very good golfer back then, he was hacking big time. My Grandpa was trying to give him advice. I specifically remember him saying something like, "Jerry, you're a big strong guy, you don't need to swing so hard." Anyway it was a really cool experience and I ended up getting his autograph before he left.
Merton Hanks - in Nantuckett 2001
met VD when he was up here with the US curling team during the olympics, shared a few words at the curling venue
I saw David Baas at BJs Brewery in South SF with his family. How could I tell? Everyone was wearing a #64 Baas jersey... And I know they don't make or sell those anywhere!
I saw Jerry Rice at TEMPLE nightclub in SF dancing in the private VIP area with some skinny white girl. I guess he likes vanilla?
Met Trent Dilfer and VD at the Giants game in East Rutherford NJ a few years back.

I'll tell u this, after we loss, and I had on the vintage steve young jersey, and after my girl at the time and i left the field..........Maaaaaaan, the fans talked smack from the time i left the stadium till i got in the car, then still beeping at me after i got in my car.

There were a few times at this club back in the 80's called Safari Run in Burlingame where I saw Jerry Rice with several different females. My quess is that he had an agreement with his wife because one night she was there as well and I saw her leave with a guy and Jerry leave with a woman.

Haha, wouldn't surprise me. Maybe he was all, "Look honey, you're financially set for life. Just let me do my thing!"
I live in the Central Valley of California which is about 2 hours east of San Fran, so you can imagine how weird it was when I met Joe Montana in a Detroit airport of all places. I almost couldn't belive it, but being a niner fan all my life his face was unmistakeable. I worked up the courage said "Hi, I'm a huge 49er fan" and asked for an autograph which he very graciously gave to me. It is one of my favorite memories.
Met Dwight Clark at the old 49ers facility in 1983 and still remember seeing him drive up in his beaten to s**t Van. It had primer and was a total wreck. Dwight got out and was in faded old jeans and looked like any regular joe. Signed an autograph and really made a 12 year old happy.
