Thanks for the info. I like the way they are letting him know he needs to learn how to prepare for not only practice, but also how to be a professional CB.

Thats gonna be key for him. USC had a great defense each year he was there. He was a phenom imo at FS with his hits n coverage. His speed made them try him at CB. In a year or 2 he could be great. Or he could turn into a whiney douche. It all depends on the structure and coaching they give him in SF.

In South Carolina USC is the University of South Carolina. I keep forgetting that dude, my bad It does work with both players each needs good coaching and structure.

Really liking all the coaching going on so far and we will see how much better it gets as the season goes on

this is the guy i really liked when he was picked. i feel like he will be a huge suprise for us in the future but in all honesty the main reason im rooting for this guy is cause like 90 percent of the people on here where freakin out when he got picked and kept saying how he was worthless and it was a terrible choice by baalke. so go culliver!

-The 49ers are down to their fourth cornerback. Shawntae Spencer (hamstring) Tarell Brown (unknown) are out with injury. Tramaine Brock started practice but didn't finish it and, at one point, was running on the sidelines by himself. That leaves rookie Chris Culliver as the possible starter Friday in New Orleans. Not that Culliver is not deserving. Harbaugh said all arrows are pointing up with him and he made an leaping interception on a fade route during 7-on-7 drills.

Trent Baalke is legit. I wasn't against the hiring of Baalke but I wasn't ecstatic about it either. But now I am sold we hired the right guy. Not only is he a great talent evaluator but he is a good negotiator as well. He obviously gets along great with Harbaugh. I know that technically the jury is still out on his draft choices and free agent acquisitions but lets be honest they are looking solid so far.

Depth is looking a little worrisome at CB.

Rogers, Spencer, Brown, Culliver, Brock, Adams. Last year's Philip Adams I'd have been fine with as the nickel guy. This year, coming off the injury I'm concerned. Apparently he's not back to the form he was last year, and understandably so.

We need Spence to get -- and stay -- healthy.

The good news is that Rogers,Brock,Culliver have looked good in camp and we have great depth at safety as well

whatever is wrong with spencer, i bet he would start if itwas during the season.

this, if a vet feels the slightest thing during tc they will sit out. he just better not be getting burnt left and right by freaking mike williams come week 1
