Draft a speed/scat back to pair with Gore and Dixon.

This should be done, whether Westbrook returns or not, as long as it is in rounds 5-7.

I want another Charlie Garner type back. The dude was underrated and was surprisingly durable. Small enough to hide behind our big O-line, then suddenly pops out for a 10 yarder before the LB can spot him.

^^^This guy or Derrick Locke.
A Darren Sproles type would make a great change of pace from Gore's power running.

I hear that one, especially in today's nfl with the average lifespan of a RB being 4-5 years, Gore might be almost at the end of his career.

it seems more and more like we should take another RB in the draft this year.
I would be fine taking one in round 4 or later

Resign Westbrook if possible, add a Quiz Rogers type of guy, speedy and able to line up all over the field.

He is the guy I think we should target. I think he would fit in Harbaugh's systems as a change of pace 3rd down back for us. Although he's around 185, if im not mistaken, he seems tough enough to take over Gores role in the next 3 years or so. Gore and Dixon and Rodgers would be a sick backfield.

Might not be a starter IMO but he would be a good relieve guy for Gore.

Westbrook is gased and it showed through the season. New system get some speed in our backfield. We have enough coaching staff to teach. Will be the best for our team. Acual change of pace guy

Fact is, RBs get hurt. Any team that goes into the season with only one proven back is stupid. Drafting and FA is a must. WB doesn't want to waist the final years of his brillant career sitting behind Gore and Dixon did not prove he was anything, but a spot player last year. I was a big Dixon fan, but it's clear he doesn't like contact. Personally, I think RBs are a dime a dozen (a lot are good, and a few elite). As long as the line improves we should be able to plug in a good RB and get solid production. Hopefully, Harbaugh can convince WB to stay because his (Harbaugh)allegiance is to the team, not Gore.
