This guy says to keep Alex Smith for WCO? LOL. Wow. I hope this doesn't turn into an Alex thread. But really, this guy needs help.

Overreact much? No one has brought anyone back yet.
It will be a long time before anyone can sign any free agents with no CBA. By that time, the Niners could have already drafted their future.

Aren't teams allowed to resign their own free agents ?

Really? Now he is already signed, and to a 3 year contract no less?
I hope you are kidding. If not...

Harbaugh is very analytical. It is better to have Alex Smith around while this CBA thing unfolds. Also if he cannot get Kolb, Orton or even Johnson then it would be good for a rookie Qb to sit behind a veteran for 1 year.
Would you rather have Carr as your starter of Alex?

Do you want a rookie learning from Alex? I know I don't!

It's official. Sando doesn't know sh!t about QBs.
WCO needs a smart and accurate QB who can move the chains. Alex hasn't been able to learn one of the many systems he's been in in the past 6 years well enough to accurately call protection packages. Furthermore, he's one of the worst QB's on picking up the first down where he chooses to dump the ball off underneath way to much. And I don't even want to get started on the accuracy part of it with hitting receivers in stride and consistently placing the ball where only the receiver can make a play...

"The 49ers could have had the 15th-best quarterback in the league and won that division,"
Too bad we had Alex Smith.

We could of won the division with Alex Smith, but Sing is an idiot. With that said, Smith is not that good. The biggest killer for Smith is that he is inconsistent and only seems to be good in spurts or when his back's against the wall.
Of course, this is just my opinion.
