Good play by the DB, bad form on Ginn and Smith looks bad on a play that every QB would look like a hero by one of the aforementioned Receivers.

We have Vernon and Crabtree for the outroutes and Ziggy can take the intermediate and Morgan and Gore can take Dumpoff and shallow routes. Ginn doesn't need to be on that field at that time. Solid returner. Sh!tty option at Receiver.

your post are a breath of fresh air compared to the normal hate and sarcasm! so thank you! But Alex showed he had heart! he got mad came back in and gave us 14 points!

AND THEN HE THREW AN INT ALA DE BERG WHEN IT MATTERED MOST. You can't sugar coat that. Alex Smith = FAIL.

Oh give it up. That last INT was on the line for letting him get blasted in the facemask when he just started his throwing motion. People on this board are so ridiculously blinded by their hatred for Smith that they cant call a play for what it is.

All of them think the same way I think about Smith. If he were to just let loose of all the thoughts in his head holding him back, he would be one of the best QBs in the league. The way he came out last night, there are not many QBs that would play like that. I commend him for it, and hope it carries over and he really does try to let loose.

That's because he came out with a "f**k it! I'm throwing it! I don't care if it gets picked!" mentality.

In the long run, expect more INTs with that mentality if he keeps throwing it to the wrong guys and keeps missing the real open receiver.

And he missed the screen pass to Gore that would have tied the game. Conveniently overlooked play.

Fixed.

And yeah, you try throwing a ball when your arm gets stopped 3/4 of the way through your motion.

It was a screen pass. He should have been back pedaling quickly as soon as he got the ball. It was almost as if he was surprised by the pressure on a screen pass. He keeps making mentally dumb errors.

it was blocked. good play by the DB!

As for the ginn play. It was terribly underthrow (AS USUAL) Kinda like when he threw the low crappy pass to VD in the endzone! Smith lacks accuracy. Missed plenty of WIDE OPEN receivers down the field when he'd rather check down to gore! CUT IT LOSE

That's not true. I read lips too. Sing said We're behind 24 to 10 and I gotta... camera panned to something else.

So we don't know the FULL story.

I have a feeling Sing was gonna throw the hook on Smith but Smith got pissed and started yelling at Sing(this we DID see) and told him that he could still play.

Now this I believe. The boobirds were out in full force like Smith crapped on somebodies kid at the 50 and the game was his fault when it wasn't. I think Smith finally stuck up for himself. He was pissed and I don't blame him. It was a stupid mistake that gave up 7 but to that point look at how solid he was playing the game.

Frank put the ball down twice and everyone boos Alex. That;s f@ckin stupid imho.

If our Defense could stop a gang of school kids from scoring on their baby sister Alex would not be in the position of having to comeback from even a 7 point deficit. But that sh!t is lost on the "Faithful".

He gave up 7. The Defense gave up 14. Why are we pissed at Smith today? Oh I forgot when you're drafted 1st overall you have to be Montana and Young all rolled into one and have to keep the Opposing Offense from scoring too.

This entire team is at fault for our 0-5 start, but Smith is the QB and they always get most of the blame. The fact it that all the excuses you say that everyone gives Smith are the same for Carr. All we ever heard about when he was in Houston was how much he was sacked.

This organization put us in this bind when they traded Hill. Smith is the best option we have. In my opinion, we have only one option. Let Alex play for 3/4 of the season. If at that point we are out of it, we bench him and bring up Davis and see what he can do. This will let us get an idea of how to handle the next off season.

I would let Smith now this. Heck I would consider letting everyone know that Smith has 7 games to prove he is our QB by taking us to the playoffs, and if he fails we are going another direction.

Ok, the D isn't as good as it was last year, but when the offense goes 3 and out and turns the ball over giving the other team a short field every game, those players break down when they can't catch a breath. This is on the entire offense!

What about the game killing INT on the last drive that was putting Nedny in a spot to tie the game? Way to be consistent, don't you think?

Alex got absolutely CREAMED on that throw.

I'm gobsmacked that you even blame him 100% for that. I blame the Line for not giving him time to throw it.

"Right Alex, well you should have channeled your inner psychic to see that you were toast the moment you took your three step drop."

My Lord man please stop at the concession booth to buy a clue on your way out Alex will autograph it the next time you attend a game.

~Ceadder

You are such a pompous fool. You know that? You ever go back and read your self-important comments/ As though you are somebody special, you are not.

Who is the pompous fool?

I'm not the one blaming the QB for throwin an Interception because he was hit on his release.

I'm not the person saying he should have taken the sack, when had he somehow held onto the ball he probably would have fumbled it when he got hit.

You know what Bali? I only point out arguments that have basis in common sense. But since you seem not to have any right now, I'll give you some friendly advice. Leave off the personal attacks. There was no call for it. Yeah I said buy yourself a clue. Now I'm giving you one for free cause I like you.

Attack the argument not the Poster. I attacked your incredibly short sighted stance on that last Pick. I was joking with you about buying the clue. So how bout you point out how you would have pulled it down instead of taking a chance downfield.

Oh and btw. Did you stop to think that Sing got in his ass about NOT taking his shots downfield? I thought not.

Sorry but I cannot get with this thought.

The Defense is SUPPOSED to limit the Opposing Offense regardless of where they are on the field.

Do you think that Seifert would have accepted anything less from his units back in the day?

The Defense is supposed to give the Offense the ability to get back in the game even when there are Turnovers that put them with their backs to the Goal Line.

Doesn't matter anyway because we cannot Defense the Screen. And until we do that it's not going to matter. Manusky needs to get his ass into the booth so he can see what the other team is doing on the field with a bird's eye perspective. Until he does, it's going to be more of the same.

Oh we may Win but our Defense is not going to adjust to the one play that bites them in the ass in every game we've played for a very long time.

I doubt Smith "didn't see it" as you claim. More like he got bent over with no reach around on the 1st Pick so he wasn't even going to throw to Ginn and give him another chance to get off in Alex's back door.

2nd best WR my ass.
