WE WANT GRUDEN
sad that it takes thousands of angry fans to light a fire under his soft ass. But if that's what it takes, do it every game right before kickoff.
I believe AS is a good person and shows he's got spirit and a "not going to give up" attitude. I really do respect him for that.

He just needs to suit up for another team.

I think Alex Smith getting his ass chewed out by the HC for the first time had something to do with it. Seriously, this is the first time he's gotten chewed out.

Niner talk would hate Parcells if he were the coach because we would be saying Parcells is scaring Alex into playing cautious.

I was at the game and I was booing Smith and calling for Carr. It's not about Carr being our savior it's about sending a message to the Yorks that we will no longer take this crap. We have seen the same crap from Smith the last 6 years and we will no longer take it. I'm glad we started this chant on national tv so everyone gets the message.
yea, u know who else has tremendous heart?

This little f*g. Doesn't mean I want him starting at DE for my team.

Smith needs to just snap! Get rid of the good guy role, go out, f**k some hookers, do some coke and start playing like your balls weight 10 pounds each!

LOL. Alex Smith sure gave you fans the double middle fingers. You a*****es tried to bury Alex last night, but he once again showed that he can persevere when everyone is seemingly against him. You fans are truly the 49er Unfaithful, fair weather fans. Alex never gave up, even when the coach and the fans had.

As for Dingletary, he showed again that he is not a man of conviction. And I dont buy the BS Sing is feeding about he warmed up Carr to see what reaction he got from Alex. Sing was going to pull Alex until Frank and Vernon stood up for him. Glad someone had his back, because Sing tried to turn his back on Alex.

And best of all, Alex had the class in his interview to side with the fans that were booing him. He stood tall and took the heat. He could blast the coach for not opening up the offense, again, until we were down double digits. He could blast Frank for his fumbles and lack of production. Na, Alex takes it on the chin and takes the brunt of the criticism, because that's what leaders and quarterbacks do.

Arent they supposed to win too?

Alex and Singletary are 5-10 together.

He needs to get into a fight with an offensive player this week if there's a botched play or a dropped ball. He needs to let the team know that this is what he thinks because his job is on the line.

Then, maybe he will throw 1 INT instead of 3.
"Class", My A$$. It was the whole team that was getting Booed, Not just Smith.
When I was chanting that I would have rather seen him flip the bitd cuz that would have been the most emotion he's shown in 6 years. He's a turnover machine, and leads the league in give aways. If he would have cut those in half we would have at least won 2 games.
i wish alex all the best with his new team next year. the niners need to move on however.

Next time one of his receivers drops a ball or runs the wrong route, or Anthony Davis allows another sack, I hope he grabs him from the facemask and screams in his face. He just basically needs to man up!!!!
I have been a Smith supporter from day one and I thought he was playing well minus the int which Ginn should have at tracked the ball and at least played DB. Not saying it was a great play but he has to track the ball and at least knock it down. The fumble was a rookie mistake... I think the boo's where more a collection of year's of him struggling. I actually think he deserved them based on all his work and I am glad it happened. It's probably what he needed. Now if the coaching staff would have worked to his strengths from day one he probably could have been a decent QB.

I know some have question Smith's toughness, passion, courage but I always knew you where wrong about that. He might not have played well but I know he is a good person, he's humble, he has always put in the effort and work, he wants to succeed and last night he showed that he wants it. Just not sure we will allow him to do what he does best. We have seen in the past that he follows up a glimpse of hope with usually a bad game. He isn't consistent for a stretch of games and most of the time he isn't consistent in one game. He shows us a glimpse of hope and we say wow, can't believe he just did that and then shows us the oh my god that's something you do in your first nfl game mistake.

I know these close losses in the past have been said that that's what we need but I hope this is a turning point for the season. Alex might not be around next year but he has a chance to prove himself.

And I know Smith has a lot of the blame and for the most part rightfully so. However, just about every other player and coach have played there part. The defense at times seems to be half assing it.... none of the coaches except maybe the TE coach have done a great job and just about every other player has made a key mistake this year.
"double middle finger" to the fans who have spend/wasted money over the years to subject themselves to have to watch Alex Smith play....or attempt to play the QB position?

imo, to me they are martyrs....I reside in the City, and if it wasn't for them...our 9er games would be blacked out.

I salute these brave individuals
