If we go 1-7 we should let Nate Davis finish the year as the Starting QB

Nate Davis sucks people, not that he doesn't have any talent at all, but he lacks the single most important thing to being successful, he doesn't care enough to work to get better. You can have all the talent in the world, but unless you apply yourself, you are wasting it.

so why do we keep Alex??

This thread is as dumb as some of our posters who think 0-3 is successful and also think our starting QB and coach who have losing records are sucessful.
Nate Davis isn't even on the 53 man roster. So how do you propose we Start him? Even if we were 0-9?

You know teams can bring a player up any time they want, right? I sure hope you do.
he should start at atlanta
If the Niners are 1-7 and Alex is playing poorly or just okay, then I want to see a different QB.

Troy Smith first and then Nate Davis. We don't need to see David Carr.

We don't have an answer on the roster. We know Alex Smith isn't it.

It's like taking a multiple-choice test with 4 options:

A. Alex Smith
B. David Carr
C. Troy Smith
D. Nate Davis

You already know A. is not the answer and B. is unlikely to be the answer, so why not guess C. or D.?

Because Alex is better than Nate Davis and has at least a work ethic.

Might as well throw him out there for 8 real games and see what we have. If he is as good as some people think he can be, we wouldn't have to spend a 1st round pick on a QB and can adress the CB position or get a legit pass rusher.

It would be better than throwing Carr or T. Smith in there.

Thoughts?

If we go 1-7 we can assume Singletary will still be trying to win games and not thinking about next year, because it's likely he won't be here next year. If a new coach comes in, more than likely Davis will be gone and it will be pointless for us to have played a practice squad player for 8 games and gotten rid of him eventually. Besides, the rest of the division could have losing records and we may still have a chance to win it at 8-8, so why throw in the towel?

work ethic doesnt WIN games, right?? just look at ur robot... and besides the !diot who came up with that bu!! s**t was Singletary. and he is the last person who should be talking about work ethic, cause he suks at it.
he's one of the reasons we're 0-3. but I hope he keeps Alex at Qb for this year, hopefully both will get fired at the end.
