What??? You mean. . . the fact that he looks like he could care less when he is suppose to be playing. He has his money and his GQ wardrobe why does he have to give anything back?? Maybe he should take up fishing.

no time the OL only blocks for 1.2 sec
when he gets the ball in his hands he makes plays
yeah slapping a bad pass to get picked off
when we just let him run and then dump off to gore of course he isnt going to perform.
Yesterday I counted a handful of times were alex took about a 5-7 step drop and then just immediately passed that s**t to gore. Even the announcer said it, in the 2nd half no passes to Crabtree or VD
dudes can't get open in 1.2 sec
the 5 times he was looking for Crabs Smith was sacked
lol
they all suck until further notice

WTF? Were you just dying to post your first "IBTL"? The dude made a statement about a topic that he had an opinion on and was curious to see what the rest of the zone thought. If you got an opinion, post it. Otherwise take your "IBTL" bulls**t somewhere else. Even better idea for you...let the mods worry about locking a message board post.

To be honest though, the o-line was getting blown up all day. I am sure by the second half we was scared to hold the ball more than a few seconds.... Having said that, I have never seen so many short passes.... Nor on that note a defense get burned over and over again by the same play (screen)... how long before you make an adjustment...seemed like every drive they had 2 succesful screen plays until the very end when they just ran it right at us....

Really???
He played great last year in 10 GAMES! Theres a reason that Nicks, and bryant are playing so well its called a better O. The QBs are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Alex, coaching wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the 49ers. They also look there way alot. I dont think the 49ers coaching staff since Erickson believes in having a go to WR.......

I wouldn't bench Crabtree yet. But I'd like to definitely see more Ziegler. How hurt is Morgan? Nice call Singletary.

Well i mean if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, then most likely it's a duck.
This is a Crabtree thread, and not a Smith thread, so please stay focused.
I laugh because most say he's doing his job, just because he caught a few balls thrown his way some of the time.
To make a long story short, you can put Crabs in the same venue as N. Davis. You cant not put the time in, and expect fantastic results period. We all agree that football isnt a game of feel. Yes your instincts are what get you prepared, but if you dont practice, how can you get better.
He missed ALL of the pre-season, and some on here take it soo lightly. They forget that even VD called out Crabs on his bs. So since that day i learned all i need to know. Do you think someone would of called out Jerry because his lack of participation? Hell no.
Both Matts, pointed out yesterday, thats it's not just a conincidence that Smith seems more in tuned with everyone else on the O, but Crabs. NOt too mention they also pointed out that 4 out of his 5 int's have been on passes to Crabs.
He will get it together at some point so im not too worried. But i'll say he's not playing like a no 1 receiver. I thought he'd be an Andre Johnson type. Smith threw the ball high that time, and he caught the ball, but hurt his neck. Johnson catches passes like that all the time in triple and double coverage, and gets lit the f**k up, and he almost jumps in the air on every pass, leaving his body open for a hard hit.
But he gets hit, shakes it off, and goes back in.
I'm saying we can talk about every other position on offense, but to be the #1 receiver, i see MOrgan and Ziggy playin harder. Not saying either should replace Crabs, but to say that him missing all pre-season, not working on those little details of body language between he and QB, makes a big difference on his lack of performance. Just like N. Davis was told, u cant just expect to turn it on, on game day. And we are all witness to what happens when u dont play in pre-season.

The biggest problem I see with Crabtree is that he appears to be afraid of contact. Against Seattle he stopped on a slant pattern that was perfectly thrown but wound up a pick. On another he turned outside instead of inside which is where Smith put the ball. Yesterday instead of using his body to shield the defender he stopped on his route again. All of these plays have the same common denominator. Most of the balls he has caught have been on the outside, away from the heavy hitting of the safeties.
I believe he has a ton of potential but something needs to change if he is going to be the guy he thinks he is.

I went to the game yesterday...
Crabtree is not the problem. Alex has no faith in himself to throw 10+ yd routes. They were plenty of times where Crabs, VD, Morgan, Delanie, and Ziegler were one-on-one with their defenders and Alex choose to check down to Gore.
Unless the receiver has three steps on a defender, Alex will not even attempt to make a throw. Even KC fans were wondering why he doesn't even try.
KC's defense pretty much dared Alex to beat them by making the 49ers one-dimensional.
All Alex can do is throw the flats and the 5 yd out routes.

i think it is because he has no faith in his WRs to fight for the ball. crabtree needs to be benched. put in zeigler and stop with this f**king 22 formation.
norris benched, walker's reps reduced, rachal benched, and westbrooks reps increased
