No doubt.
The value of SBLs drop if you have two teams playing...

The advantages of paying for them (discounts on other venues and such) are reduced by 1 games and 2 by competion for discounts for those venues by SBLs on your very own seats.

If they double up on SBLs they better cut the price in half.
Personally, I'm all for it if it'll make tickets more affordable...

As Mark Davis was talking the lights went out and the overhead projecter screen came down, then he says "what is this?....candlestick?
Raiders fans should be the ones who are angry about this IMO. if the niners are going to SC anyway then it doesn't matter. If it leaves more room in the budget for other things then its a win for the niners. I dont know the ins and outs of it all but i assume it'll be cheaper for the fans... Maybe we should ask the New Jersey Jets/Giants.

Also, the Raiders have a fierce fan base so maybe we will get an even better stadium!
Everything that is in place would have to be scrapped and could delay everything again (vote wise)

Santa Clara is a 49er city...doubt they would want raider fans coming over.

they voted for the stadium not for the team who plays there...it will also host many other events, i.e. concerts, world cup soccer, superbowl

They approved dual-usage as part of the vote.

And no, nothing would have to be scrapped. The only real change that would happen is that the Niners (and city) would make a s**tload more money.

Since the Niners are putting up the vast majority of the cost for the stadium, they would ask for a % of all Raider ticket sales. And the city gets 2x the visitors, which is a small businesses delight. Money money money.

go ask that to any Santa Clarian (sp) if they voted for a place for other events

idk know if you know the area..but they have these facilities already to host other events

Nope. a TWO-TEAM facility was voted on and approved.

The City and Niners knew this was a possibility and....gasp...thought ahead.

What are you smoking?

Of course the stadium was supposed to be used for more events. The 49ers and City share the income on those events. Additionally a TWO-TEAM lease was written into the deal.

You guys act like the team and city had no idea this might happen. Seriously? You don't think they forsaw this as a possibility? Seriously?
